Our master shower needed to be replaced and that meant a lot of dust in a room that has no windows we could open for airflow. We bought this along with a new angle grinder and a few other tools that attached to the dust extractor in the hopes that it would cut back on the crap in the air. It worked pretty much flawlessly. We had to cut fiberglass, drywall, grind thinset, and much more. It picked up 99% or more of the dust. It does "Thump" every 30 seconds or so to clean the filter but you can turn that off. Another cool feature is being able to plug your power tool into the vacuum and have it turn on with the tool (it'll "thump" right before it shuts off - I kept thinking somebody was knocking on my door). It was expensive but one of those "you get what you pay for" kind of tools.
