The remote has an off button. But it doesn't burn all night anyway. It depends on the sun light it gets during the day for how long it will stay on. I would think that since you say ( you don't need the motion sensor at all ever) This would not be the light For You

In winter at what temperature and level of light does the light stop working?

I just got it… I live in WA state so temps are mild right now and raining. I just installed it, even with the rain we’ve been having it’s still working good. I would definitely try one and see how it works for you, if you like it you can get more. Hope this helps!😀
