Turmeric Curcumin from THERACURMIN

As a man in my early 70s, I struggle to get good quality sleep, and with a family history of Alzheimer, I want to do what I can to help keep my mind functioning well. Since good sleep and a well functioning mind seem to be dependent on each other in a "catch 22" situation, I'm concerned about what supplements I could be taking to help keep my noggin healthy. At one of my yearly physical checkups, the doctor recommended taking this product to help reduce inflammation in the brain in addition to other areas of the body. This product contains a micronized, water-dispersable form of curcumin called Theracurmin which is believed to be much more easily absorbed into the body. Although it is not cheap, I trust my doctor so I have included it in my supplement regimen. Along with some healthy dietary changes, I now only take pain medication when injury occurs. Joint pain is pretty much non-existent. I am presently taking just half the recommended dosage with an occasional normal dose for the day and will continue this till the end of time. PLEASE NOTE: I did have a significant reaction with caffeine taken in the afternoon (dark chocolate) I didn't sleep well at all that night so now I limit caffeine to a small amount only in the early morning and take this supplement only in the evening. The reaction I had seems to be supported by some research I found on the Internet showing evidence that curcumin inhibits a liver enzyme that processes/removes caffeine from the body. The good reviews here at Amazon seem to support my doctor's advice on taking this product as does the reduction in some joint pain that I was having. I 've tried several curcumin products for joint pain and inflammation in general. I would rate Cardiotabs curcumin as the best of the 5 different brands I've tried. It's extremely effective. The price is pretty expensive though, perhaps because of the manufacturing process. I wish it were less, and I do find myself hesitating to take the recommended dosage unless my pain is especially bad that day, so sometimes I'll take only 1 capsule day, but even that amount is better than most others.

My Primary Care Physician told me to buy these when I visited for an assessment for possible rheumatoid arthritis. I'm fairly young, but was having pain in my wrists, fingers & shoulder as well. I started taking these and have not experienced the pain that used to plague me from years of overuse and impact exercise. I also found out that I did not have RA. I take this daily and don't ever miss it. It's natural anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen that actually works. This is the best turmeric supplement out there!

I like this product because it contains the exact product that was tested by the Alzheimer's research lab to see if it would help regain memory in people with dementia. I have given it to my boyfriend who has early onset dementia. I don't know it it is working yet, but I have seen improvements in certain things that he says and can do himself. He still seems to have the nighttime "fog" that most people with dementia have. But during the day, I am glad to see him recover some actions and memory he had seemed to have lost.

I had severe pain in my right hip joint that made it difficult to move from one place to another. I took the curcumin as directed, 600 mg twice a day. The first day seemed alright, I took just one dose the second day and later broke out in hives. (the same thing happened when I took Furosimide). Stopped the curcumin for two weeks, then began again with one 600 mg dose a day. It works fine for me. I still have mobility problems, but the pain from inflammation is gone. Thank you

Using it for brain, heart and joint help.

I have several medical conditions, including sarcoidosis, that are driven by an inflammatory component. Upon the advice of my integrative medicine doctor, I have been using Theracurmin as the better absorbed form of curcumin. About a couple of years ago, I started buying the CardioTabs brand of Theracurmin initially because it was less expensive than the brand my doctor mentioned. Based on my experience to date, I feel it is of the same quality as the more expensive brand and haven't experienced any digestive upset like some curcumin supplements can cause. I give this one a thumbs up!

I was amazed at the pain relief I got from this Theracurcumin. I have bad knees and have even been told I need a knee replacement. I was taking a lot of Ibuprofen with out relief--I even got a Kidney Infection.. I thought there has to be a better way to treat my knee pain without surgery. Taking the Theracurcumin I am experiencing so much less pain and there are days that I am pain free. I truly believe this works. I know it's expensive but this is one thing that I find to be worth it.
