I ordered 12 of these panels in total. It was a small room I was setting it up for. I would definitely get more than you think you'll need just in case. Overall these worked great. I just nailed them up and it reduced the amount of reverb down 50% which made it sound so much more natural on phone calls in there.

I got these out of curiosity, along with several other acoustic treatment materials through different vendors on Amazon, to test them all out. I actually used these as quick, easy, portable little absorbers while temporarily working in a recording space that was awkward and couldn't be modified with larger or more permanent materials. I layered them at angles. These are not for adhesion or noise level reduction -- Did they even come with adhesive?? I don't think so. Maybe they did and I chucked it. For noise reduction, you'd have to use these to completely seal up wherever noise is coming from... like if you put a bunch over a window, and then caulked all around so there were no cracks where sound or air could leak in. I suppose it could reduce noise that way, but it's really impractical. I'd say it's much better to reduce reflection. I've also seen these stapled all over walls in one studio I was in, but with much larger panels, and that studio added some wooden diffusers. They liked a fairly live sound though.
