Not much to it. It's a clip-on retractable card holder clipped to a lanyard. It hasn't broken yet. When/if it does, I'll change my review. It's compact.My workplace used to stock cheap cheapo retractable things, but you'd have to watch them and throw it away when the string started to fray. I ordered a few similar to the Chums, and I like this one best because of size and color. I got a metal one with a cable, but it was too much.I got this because my workplace doubled the number of card readers I need to deal with, and they installed them way off to the side. This reaches pretty far and saves me a half stride each time I have to open them doors.

I bought one 2.5 years ago, and it has held up well, still looks and works like brand new, no issues with the breakaway part. Needed a second one for a second job and I had no hesitation to buy another one from chums, although it is pricier for a lanyard.

we moved offices and now need access ID badges to get everywhere in our new office. this lanyard is great because i can wear it with dresses, pants, skirts, etc. without worrying about finding a place to clip on one of those retractable cord badge holders - this one has both! the retractable cord is great - keeps the id badge at a comfortable length (slightly below midchest)and then stretch out to hit the badge sensors - i dont need to bend down or take it off. perfect!

The strap is nice, and the breakaway connector is nice. My gripe is that it seems to be the same cheapo retractor that is available anywhere with any of these braces that are about half the price. It's still working after about two weeks, so I shouldn't complain. Also this necklace is pretty short compared to other lanyards I have. This can be a pro or a con. It depends on your preferences and uses for this.

I use this for a security badge at an airport. It is so handy to pull it to a length that allows me to swipe my HID card without missing a step. It is especially handy when carrying objects that would make it difficult to lean over to scan. Everyone at work asks me where I purchased this.

This is an awesome lanyard. I work in a hospital so break away is a good feature and so it the retractable part because we have lots of card entry doors. It is comfortable to wear and well made.

Unfortunately, I got it a few weeks before I transferred to another dept. which doesn't require me to wear it. Nice though. Bad timing on my part.

My hubby works at a hospital and needed a professional looking retractable lanyard for his hospital security id card. He had me order this and says it works exactly as he needs it to! We received it quickly as well, and it was exactly as described!

The retractable portion of this lanyard works very well. It is exactly the right length for me (a short woman). Unfortunately, the breakaway portion of the lanyard doesn't seem to be very serviceable because it broke after only 2 weeks of very light use. I am still using it with tape over the breakaway section, but that defeats the purpose of having the breakaway. I haven't seen any other complaints of this problem so perhaps I received a defective unit.

Works well, cord could be a bit longer as its a pain to take it over top of your head rather than disconnecting it at the back.

Exactly as advertised. Good quality.

The length is just right. I like it. It was just what I was looking for. It doesn't get in the way.
