It barely retains water for maybe half a day, even after making sure its fastened tightly it still doesn’t work, I dont have the same problem with any of my other water dispensers so there must be something wrong with this one

the ONLY reason I couldn't give this 5 stars is because, as some others have mentioned, the quality of the red basin leaves a little to be desired. It's a little flimsy compared to the other "brand name" waterers, but it still works fine, and for a great price. It's getting colder here so I'm ready to hook up the plug-in heated waterer anyway, but for now, this works fine and the water port in the bottom is a nice feature, although I don't use it, it's a nice alternative to completely detaching the basin from the bottle part

I love this waterer. I’ve bought 2 of them already.The handle means you can suspend it for better cleanliness.The small capped hole on the bottom is screaming great!I have damaged hands and these waterers are so easy for me to work with and use.

This is one of several water-ers we have for our flock of 17 layers. This one stays filled longer, which you should consider if you're having to maintain a flock that sees hot weather.The larger size also means they're less likely to knock it over if it goes dry.It's not too heavy to carry once full, unlike our 5 gallon bucket with water nipples.Pair this with a plug in chicken water heater for freezing winter temps.If in doubt, get a larger water-er than you think you need.

We have chickens and there are times when hot weather causes them to drink so much water that refilling a couple times a day just becomes hard to do. Especially if we are away from the house. So, when this was offered we placed the order.It is a 1.5 gallon water drinker. About 6 times the size of our original unit. We can now just fill it up in the evening when they are sleeping and it will last through the next day with ease.The top unscrews from the base and you fill that with the water. Then, you screw on the red base. Invert when setting on the ground and it will automatically keep the drinking trough full. The top is semi clear so that you can easily see the water lever within.This has been so helpful and we are quite pleased with it.

Can’t even screw it together. Was packaged unscrewed, so this product is defective. Waste of a weeks waiting for shipping
