Waterproof UPF 50+ Wide Brim Sun Hat for Men Big Heads Oversized

I purchased the khaki and olive green and they are true to their color. The materiel is cool and light weight. The snaps on the side to fold up the sides is a nice touch and looks nice once trained, which does not take long. The brim is a perfect length for sun protection without blocking field of vision. The best part is the oversized diameter is truly oversized and fits my big coconut. It is actually too big but the tightening cord for the circumference and the chin strap makes it a non issue. Super pleased and will buy extra to have in case this disappears.

I needed sun protection to protect my ears. I recently had to get some basal cells removed from my ear. A lifetime of being in the sun everyday has finally caught up with me. I play pickleball about 10-12 hours a week, mostly outdoors when the weather is right. I was concerned if this hat would stay on during play but it is just fine. I did wear a ball cap when I played outside for sweat control and blocking the sun on lobs. This hat does it all, it's lightweight, provides sun protection and stays on my big head. It is ventilated front and back with screen type material and a couple of holes on each side. I can feel a breeze on my head when the wind blows, which never happens on my ballcaps. It is inexpensive so I wasn't expecting a show hat, I was expecting a knock around hat and this is perfect. It comes in several colors but I choose dark grey so it will go with most every pickleball shirt I own. The material it is made from seems like it should hold up just fine. I read some reviews where the snaps come loose so I'm not even going to try them out, no need to for me. It's not the greatest quality hat you can buy but it is a good buy. I'm happy with this hat. Money well spent.

My husband has pretty thick dreadlocks and has struggled to find ANY hats that he can wear fishing that will fit comfortably over his hair. This hat is a WINNER!!! If you have dreadlocks and want a good lake/kayaking/fishing hat, this one is perfect! The fabric/material is not too heavy, it has the mesh lining under the main fabric to make it more breathable and when he gets hot, he just dunks it in the water and puts it back on his head and it will stay cool for a WHILE! The strap has been solid so far and keeps the wind from blowing it away. Overall GREAT value for the money and my husband loves camo, so the multiple camo colors meant we ended up with more than one so he will always have a spare!

Functional Details: The detachable chin strap is a lifesaver on windy days, and the waterproof material holds up well against light rain and splashes. Packable: It folds down easily into a backpack and pops back into shape without permanent creases. Cons: Brim Stiffness: Because the brim is so wide and made of lightweight material, it can occasionally flop down into your line of sight if there’s a very strong headwind. I wish the edge was just a tiny bit stiffer. Overall, it’s a high-quality, functional hat that offers better protection and fit than anything I’ve found in local stores. Definitely a must-have for summer travel!

This is my second buy of this hat. I bought a light grey last year for yard work in the heat. It's been amazing. I wear a 7 7/8" hat which is hard to find. Sizing was spot on. Doesn't shrink when washed. Great sun blocker. Doesn't wear out. Holds up great. Super light weight and comfortable. Rain resistant if you get caught in a sudden rain. Straps for windy days are light weight and easy adjust. Just a well thought out hat. Just bought this one in black for kicking around. Highly recommend.

Overall, I’m very happy with this hat. Standard hats will not fit over my thick, big hair, even when it’s tied/plaited down. While it’s not the most breathable material, the wide brim effectively protects me. There is one small issue. While the hat fits very well around the sweatband/ bottom of the hat, it gets tighter towards the crown. As a result, the flap that covers the mesh panels is always pushed into the upward position when I pull the hat on fully. Not the biggest issues, but could be a problem if you’re wearing this hat in wet weather. If you’ve got a large head or big hair, give this hat a try. Comfortable enough that I bought a second one.

The hat itself is fine - but it absolutely reeks of chemicals. I tried letting it sit out for a full week and it still smells bad when wearing it.

As purchased this sheds water very well. That's a big plus in my book because I like to wear a hate like this in three seasons, sun or rain. venting is excellent too with a large area of mesh that has a flap over it to keep out the sun and rain. The snaps are also well constructed. Fit it excellent with the adjustment cord to tune it to your specific head size. If you are right at the larger edge you might want to go up a size. I went up two sizes and had to return the larger size, though I could get it to cinch down. I like the appearance and as stated the material is an excellent value for sun protection and rain protection. The head band is comfortable too. As a last bonus, I do like that the head strap can be unbuckled to help removing the hat. I like that additional flexibility when backpacking, hiking or camping, especially if you are keeping it snug under your chin to prevent it from blowing off down the mountainside.

Very high quality construction, sewing, cords etc. Excellent value and an item that will last decades in rain use. Easy to adjust to your head and secure by chin too. Surprised at how good it is actually, and for the price it is a steal really. Bought this one and 2 others, I am keeping all of them to use at different locations and backups.
