This plug stays cool even when charging my EV overnight. Worth the extra cost for peace of mind.

Well made outlet.
We recently got a plug in hybrid car, which we charge in our garage with its level one 120V charger. I decided it was best to upgrade the old gfci outlet with one that can better handle long hours of 12A charging. This outlet also has much stronger prong holding slots, which makes for firmer connections and lower chance of plugs working themselves loose.

Better Charge Rate for Electric Vehicle
Tesla had charging errors with 2 original non-GFI (not to current code) receptacles in garage using the mobile charger. Replaced the outlet with these and I now have no errors and slightly faster charging.
