I researched microscopes a lot and knew I needed a high resolution to really be able to see cells etc. This microscope turned out to be great. My 9 year old is looking at EVERYTHING! I love it because you can just look with a low magnification at a wing or bug leg and it's like a fantastic magnifying glass, or you can switch the magnification to 2500 and see cells. It comes with a bunch of premade slides and extra slides and cover plates. It also comes with a phone holder to take photographs through the lens, and an attachment to see images on the computer. I had one like this when I was little and I am super pleased that it turned out to be great. It's also excellently packaged, so arrived in tact. I'd definitely recommend this!

There is something that plugs into a Mac or PC by USB but no useable instructions. The software download does not work because it can not be verified by Apple or Microsoft. So it’s useless. I assume it’s to generate digital photos from the microscope but no instructions and no software.But I’m returning in because when I went online to see if there were other instructions, I noticed that it was being sold for 50% less than what I paid — on the same day!!!! Interesting that they have raised the price back to the original within 18 hours. What’s going on?

I'd give zero stars but that's not an option. These are EXTREMELY POORLY made microscopes. Nothing about them has any quality. These were definitely not built in a "clean room", all the glass in the entire unit was dirty, in places you can't take apart to clean. I purchased a replacement and it was even worse. Both were returned for refund.

My 14 yr old daughter is a nature nerd! This all she wanted for her birthday. Her birthday was in February and we had snow. She found a microscopic worm in the snow off our deck. She placed the sample under the microscope! So cool!! She and her friend had a blast drawing blood samples from each other. We own a lesser power microscopic, but this pick up where the other ends. My daughter took video with her camera through the scope lens to share in her biology class. It matched what they were studying.
