Zojirushi SD-ES08AZ Cool Bottle Stainless Steel Mug, Gradation Blue

I owned few Zojirushi vacuum mugs and I love all of it. So far it never let me down. I want a bigger bottle that I can bring in to work, so I got this 32 oz size. Been using this for over one month, I mainly use it to keep my water warm., and I am surprised that it did it job very well. I always fill my water about 80% warm in the night before, and it still can maintain it about 25% warm till the next day evening. The only thing I don't like is the latch stick up where you can see the picture I attached. For some people it can hit your chin when you try to drink. So, you might need to adjust the way you drink. The diameter is about 10 3/8 inch, and the height is about slightly over 11 inch. Make sure you clean it thoroughly before you use it. Otherwise, you can smell the plastic. The description said it is only for cold, but I did write to them and confirm. Below is the replied from them. Hello, Thank you for contacting Zojirushi America. The SD-ES08/10 Cool Bottle is an Amazon exclusive Zojirushi America product. It is designed to hold cold beverage only, due to the enlarged drinking spout. The SD-ES Cool Bottle features an easy-to-clean double nonstick interior and plastic rim on the body. The nonstick coating is made of PTFE. Vacuum insulate mugs and bottles with the non-stick coating can store both hot and cold beverages. It is a fluoropolymer, a material commonly used for nonstick coating in cookware for conventional kitchen use. PTFE, a fluoropolymer, has been the subject of extensive laboratory testing to examine its safety and durability. The results of this testing has been reviewed by such regulatory agencies as the FDA which has concluded that fluoropolymer non-stick coatings for cookware are safe for conventional kitchen use. Even in the unlikely event that a person accidentally ingested a flake of non-stick coating, the coating is non-toxic and would pass through the body without being absorbed. Due to the inert characteristics of the coating, studies indicate that there would be no health effects from the incidental ingestion of flakes of non-stick coating. Despite this extensive laboratory testing which has led regulatory agencies to conclude that our non-stick coating is safe, it is still important to use our non-stick coated products responsibly. If the product ever does exceed the recommended temperature the product will pose more immediate dangers than just having the non-stick coating deteriorate. If you are concerned about PFOA, which is the ingredient in PTFE. It’s used to glue the nonstick coating to the cooking surface. Everything is heated to a really high temperature to make the glue work, and at that point, PFOA burns off. Because this nonstick coating comes into contact with beverages, we carefully screen and select all materials we use. The nonstick coating used on our products may be safely used as components in food equipment and are safely designed to come into contact with food, in compliance with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1550 (perfluorocarbon resins). As a basic rule, the nonstick coating to be used on a product is tested before a new model is designed and manufactured. When products are manufactured, either at our own factories or other overseas factories, our quality control personnel are there to inspect the process, and ensure that the appropriate materials and parts are used. There are so many products out there with and without the nonstick coating. The rest is up to consumers.

I love this bottle! I wasn't drinking enough water because I'm apparently too lazy to walk to the kitchen and fill a glass several times a day, so I got this. Holds nearly a quart, and if I put 4-5 ice cubes & cold water into it, it'll still have ice left at the end of the day (15 hours), even when I refill it a couple of times! The fade finish looks great, and I love the way the top pops open when you push the button, keeping the stopper out of your way. The only thing that's less than 100% (though TBH it's like 97%) perfect is the lock that keeps you from accidentally opening it. It's a hinged cover that goes over the opening button, and when it's open (most of the day for me) it clangs a little when I move it around. It's quite a pleasant clang, but if you're involved in ninja activities be aware that you need to lock it to keep from alerting the guards as you approach. Zoji makes another type of locking mech that is just a sliding switch that's probably better for sneaking about.

Thank you, Zozirushi, for making your latest water bottles non-toxic with18/8 stainless steel components. I highly recommend these newer bottles. I love these bottles, have bought 8 in different sizes over the years. 'Just learned prior bottle caps had a Prop 65 Warning because the stainless steel in the caps was not food grade 18% chromium/8% nickel. I had dropped one of my favorite 20 oz bottles and the cap broke. I went to the part replacement site and learned 4 of my caps could actually be toxic :<( The prior caps had excellent utility in that one clicked the cap switch with one hand and could drink, but the spring was not food grade stainless steel, hence the cap lock change in newer bottles. One must use 2 hands to open bottles with new cap. I have no other issue with these new bottles. i purchased (4). I also must give a "shout-out" to Camebak's bottles with the magnet top (The company actually sends two types of caps), as both companies' bottles keep water and smoothies equally cold, I bought 2 32 oz., 18/8 stainless steel on Amazon from Camelbak.. I will write Zojirushi and request 18/8 replacement caps for my older bottles, otherwise I won't use them, which is a real disappointment. I had no idea how toxic chromium and nickel can be if not 304 or 18/8 food grade stainless steel (both numbers mean the same thing). I spoke with YETI customer service this week and learned that YETI is also 18/8. If Zojirushi cannot replace my older bottle caps, I will replace the bottles with YETI or return to Camebak, both on Amazon. It is "caveat emptor" ("buyer beware") as we learn more about food and appliance industry safety (or lack thereof) I have learned to read everything a seller says and then confirm on line, or call the company, given the lack of a regulatory environment. I used the older bottles for a number of years---Uh-oh! Thank you Amazon, for giving sellers the page space to explain the quality and safety of their products.

This is my second Zojiruahi thermal - the first one is 16oz and is AMAZING. However, I needed something for an all day supply of coffee. I’ve tried all the big named thermal products and they all fall short when I compare them to this brand. After I started on a road a long road trip - finding my coffee was warm at best just 3 hours later was the end of it. I purchased two different larger sizes. I filled both with boiling water - 24 HOURS later they were still both piping hot!!! Tip: never drink out of the thermos and just pour what You need into a cup to prevent burning. I also did an ice test - there was still ice in both of these on DAY TWO!!! If you feel like the price for these are high - compared to other brands they are on point- the only difference is that these are SUPERBLY better!!! I will never by another brand. All three of my thermos bottles/cups have had consistent results and my first one is going on two years without fail.

Such a pleasure and relief to grab this and have cool, refreshing beverages when I’m traveling, working out, any time, anywhere... all day! I’ve tried many styles, this is the best design and function for me. No more need to just deal with lukewarm beverages, especially when I need to quench that thirst the most. The multi-use cap, lock and snap open design is outstanding! So easy to fill, pour, drink and clean, and is the perfect capacity size for easy traveling; also very durable, very good quality (others break somewhere)... And no straw to deal with!! Would love to order a second one in a different color. Tip: I also ordered and very quickly attached a very inexpensive matching handle (has velcro attachment strips) - now I can easily just grab and go anywhere with my small hands! Have been using this for about two months - it will probably last me forever, with active, daily use and travel.

Cancer and Reproductive harm??? This product is great. It keeps the warmth until next day. I tried other brands, but neither of them keep warmth like this one. However, I am not sure about this product because of the warnings on the box -WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm.

This is a great bottle. I can't compare it to others because this is the first one I ever owned, but the thermal insulation here is superb. I live in Southern California, and even when the car is super hot, the liquid inside is cool for hours. The spring loaded lid can sometimes hit your index finger, depending on how you hold the bottle, but it doesn't hurt. This is a large bottle, so to hold it with one hand while clicking the lid release may prove difficult for people with small hands. Remember that THIS BOTTLE IS FOR COLD LIQUIDS ONLY. The makers themselves say as much on the bottle, though unfortunately not in the item description on Amazon. The reason is not the bottle construction, that is the same as any other vacuum insulated bottle. The difference is in the beak. Beaks for hot beverages are constructed in such a way as to prevent gulping or chugging thus avoiding burns, while this bottle is made to FAVOR GULPING or CHUGGING, since most people enjoy the sensation of a wave of cold liquid in the mouth. Good buy.

I have owned an insane amount of water bottles. Most leak when turned over, a lot of them love to tip over, (especially the insulated ones) and too many require a lot of force to open / unscrew to refill and or drink out of. Zojirushi has found a way to make a water bottle with NONE of these issues. The seal they use for the top and spout are not only easy to open, it doesn't leak when closed and tipped upside down. I even shook the bottle vigorously, not a drop of water came out. They also found a way to make this water bottle nearly impossible to tip over. I can't tell you how many times I've knocked water bottles off of my night stand / desk due to being too top heavy or having a curved bottom. This bottle has a flat bottom and I the insulation layer(s) are designed to be less top heavy. The top is one of the better designed tops I've see on a water bottle. It has a well designed spout that wont restrict the flow of water while drinking, it is easy to clean and it is easy to open with one hand when you want to drink. This bottle top is also the easiest to screw off the bottle when you need to refill. Also the spout lock is designed so it wont open unless if you release a latch surrounding the opening button. I could throw this bottle into my laptop bag without issue. The insulation on this bottle is top notch. I only need to the bottle with Ice every 3 times I fill it up with water. I love the fact that I don't have to refill it up as often as a 20oz bottle. The only downside is it's thickness? This water bottle will not fit most cup holders. I have only been able to fit it in the Door cup holder of my 14 Toyota corolla (still a tight fit) and the treadmill cup holder at my gym (TRUE brand treadmill)

Awesome product, fill with ice in the morning and there is still ice in the bottle in the evening even with multiple refills

Comprei para presentear meu marido. A que ele tinha de 600 ml caiu e acabou danificando a tampa. Conheço a marca desde 2013 tenho duas uma de 600 ml e outra acho que é 400 ml. São as melhores do mercado. Mantém a temperatura da água por um longo tempo e, se colocar gelo pode ficar até 24h com a água geladinha. Amo! Recomendo. Cuidem para comprar a original. Chegou dois dias antes do prazo determinado. Parabéns!

Conocí la marca hace algunos años y es perfecta para los líquidos no se derrama y mantiene la temperatura por horas Este modelo es para bebidas frías y no es tan fácil como los de café para abrir pero es adecuado y funciona bien No es pesado como otros y aunque esté en el sol no se calienta la bebida

Great quality bottle that holds your drink COOL

朝冷蔵庫から水筒に移し替えた飲み物（麦茶）が、氷が無くてもお昼に十分冷たい。 室内なので外ではもう少し違うかもしれないが、以前使っていたものと比較すると段違いに保冷されている。 洗う時もある程度分割出来ますしそれなりに洗いやすいです。 大きさだけ問題にならなければ、オススメ出来ます。（リッターなので其れなりの大きさはあります）
