Perfect for our flock's run.
This 2 gallon waterer is the perfect size for our small flock of 15. Super easy to assemble & It holds just the right amount of water. I just refill & refresh it each night when they go to bed so they have clean water 1st thing in the morning. The anti-roost topper feature is very effective in keeping the birds from sitting on top of the bucket, which helps in keeping the water cups relatively clean. Speaking of which, the cups work great & they were easy to install. The cups auto fill with water & my chickens took right to it because they were already using those types of cups.I have this hanging in the center of my chicken run. The waterer did come with a small chain that I assume, is to hang this waterer up with. The one provided is pretty thin and was too short for me to use so I used a thicker chain & it does fine so no worries. But if I had to list a negative, it would be the quality of the chain. However, that does not take anything away from it. It's a great little waterer!

Nice waterer
Nice waterer. Only problem is keeping hay and other stuff out of cups. Easy to clean

Our chickens love it
We use this on top of cement blocks and it works great. We have three chickens and refill about every 2-3 days.

I would not recommend a square shape
I liked it until I discovered that when the water level is low (not sure how low), it tilts and seems to drain all the water out. I'm returning it and buying a round hanging one next, Harris Farms, not the Little Giant gravity fed one which wouldn't go together at all.

I love it but yet to determine if chickens do!
If you own chickens, you know they do NOT like change! š«£š¤£Weāve been using two āopenā style plastic waterers since they grew out of their chick sized ones almost 4 yrs ago now and swapping it out either daily or every other day since then! Unfortunately one shattered when it hit the ground being carried back to the house a little while back and I jumped at the chance to order this waterer as it SEEMS to my human brain to be the perfect combo of a closed system but larger open cups they can really do their breaks in for big sips like theyāre used to!Yes they have several other waterers scattered about that get cleaned out and fresh water filled weekly- totally closed systems in coolers and the like that utilize ānippleā style access and two of the three do ok with them but one just never really āgot itāššā¦ she just taps away like the harder she does so the more water sheāll finally get! Sheās yet to catch on even though her bestie is a pro who pushes it in gently and drinks down what comes out! Truth be told she usually just joins in and steals some of that steamš and she happily shares!Anyway hubby put this out for me a few days back and so far Iāve not really seen them drinking from itā¦but then again knowing how they are he left the one old style one out there as well and as I started this with- theyāre little creatures of habit! May take it going away for them to venture out to use this one!I did sprinkle a couple sunflower hearts into a few of the cups to entice them to use it and they saw me and gobbled up the ones nearby⦠but without staying out to watch- well who knows- weāll see! They usually cave in and adapt! But from my viewpoint itās simply daggone near perfect!!š¤ Love the flat top the fits snug but also the roost prevention cap that fits over that so no one tries to sit up on top and poop in the cups.. ewwww!!Only somewhat negative I see is that since weāre setting it on an elevated wood beam in the middle- with feeders on either end- the handle just rests down on the side and does block one of the cupsā¦. Not a deal breaker for us right now as weāve gotten down to the three girls but once we add more hopefully this late spring/early summer, I may have to see about removing the handle.. or using the chains that came with to at least hold it up out of the way even if the wt is still held by the wood beam! My girls have never been a fan of hanging feeders or waterers⦠guess itās what they got used to and as mentioned⦠well they can be obstinate!! ššAll in all this waterer fits in great with our runās set up and thankfully fits just right turned to where all 4 cups are off the wood and easily accessible and just the right height!Time will tell- but they took awhile to even get ok with a brand new āTaj Mahalā of chicken coops/covered run combo!! But now they are loving life!!Not sure, fyi, how easy this will be btw to dump out the water currently in the cups as Iāll do when Iām out cleaning etc⦠but we are using sand in run and coop so at least it settles at the bottom (from their beaks) and is much cleaner than having dirt or hemp etc floating in there!

NOT worth the money - cant even use it
the goal was to have a waterer that could hang....the chickens bump it off center of the chain system. doesn't work. cant sit it flat due to angle of cups either. useless to me.. waste of my money
