Review: My best indoor security camera - I have used about 5 different security cameras with HomeKit over the years and over the past few years this one has been the most reliable of all of them. It stays connected without having to be reset even with me playing with my network. The camera quality is acceptable. It does struggle a bit if there is a bright light in the frame. The motion recognition is good. Wish Eve had a better outdoor solution than their current unit.
Review: Don’t use for anything important - I know how to configure a network. I know how to troubleshoot tech problems. Despite trying literally everything I could I still get endless connection issues. Don’t even think about relying on this for security. You need something wired. Use this to look at your pets when you’re not home. Edit: I have to lower the rating. All of my other eve products work perfectly besides this. Consider the frustration and anxiety of constantly resetting the camera because of connections issues before purchasing. This is way too expensive to be such a headache. Second Edit: I've updated the firmware, had it on various networks, factory reset it. Still constantly get No Response. It goes online and offline whenever it feels like it. If you have the Eve LED strips, depending on the positioning or the lighting setting, it will also constantly set off the motion detector. I can't believe I paid a premium to be this frustrated. One of the worst things I've ever bought.

I have used about 5 different security cameras with HomeKit over the years and over the past few years this one has been the most reliable of all of them. It stays connected without having to be reset even with me playing with my network. The camera quality is acceptable. It does struggle a bit if there is a bright light in the frame. The motion recognition is good. Wish Eve had a better outdoor solution than their current unit.

So far so good. Girlfriend set up the camera with app, Apple TV, and iCloud in moments, while on the phone. Going to get a second Eve cam since girlfriend has 200GB of iCloud storage, and two doors to her condo. Truly a plug and play experience. The Amazon delivery between 4 and 8 Am is no joke. Dude was ringing me at 5:30. One thing, though, the package had already been opened, and contents removed / replaced. The camera didn't appear damaged and does seem to work so not returning.
