Product Description How do Naturalight stenopeic glasses work? The Stenopeic glasses, also known as pinhole glasses, don’t have prescription lenses. In their place, there are two pyramid shaped opaque sheets of plastic with small pinhole-sized perforations (called also stenopeic perforations). When looking through a hole, the vision becomes sharper: The light beam hitting the retina becomes narrower increasing the depth of field (DOF) and reducing the size of the circle of confusion on the retina. Already present in nature, the principle of operation is attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, who compared the vision of the human eye to that of a darkroom (camera obscura), based on the properties of the pinhole. The pinholes allow only a part of the light rays to enter the eye, more precisely only the parallel rays, and eliminate the more oblique ones. The former doesn’t need focusing, reaching the surface of the retina already sharp, while the latter contributes to the diffusion of the image and forces the vision to a tiring focus. This leads to an increased depth of field and makes the vision positively sharper. The advantage of the Naturalight stenopeic glasses is therefore attributed to a physical phenomenon, used to improve visual perception, without taking any risk or damaging eye-sight. But how to benefit from the use of these stenopeic glasses? Here we recommend some great “ocular gymnastics” exercises for you. First couple of uses Some people need a short period of adjustment before they can fully enjoy the benefits of the Naturalight stenopeic glasses. Our whole body has to get used to this new display mode. That’s why the use must be gradual and short in the beginning, and then increased as much as desired over time. After a short time of use, the pinholes won’t be visible and the images will go from spliced to sharp and clear. Vision and relaxation Our vision influences (and is influenced by) body and mind. A concrete example is the posture of the body that varies according to our eyesight. For this reason, it is recommended to rest the eyes for at least 3 minutes before use, keeping them closed or simply letting the eyes wander without carrying out any stressful tasks, such as reading or watching a screen. The retina of a relaxed individual becomes more sensitive to light, while it has trouble receiving light stimuli if the individual is stressed or tensed. Daily exercise The beneficial effect of the Naturalight stenopeic glasses gives the greatest result if the glasses are used daily, while also regularly resting the eyes. The glasses can be worn at any time of the day. Arrivati in tempi brevi gli occhiali sono belli e ben fatti, da ipermetrope e astigmatico mi permettono di leggere sul tv e telefono anche se bisogna trovare il giusto allineamento e non è facile se abbiamo scritte in movimento, fanno lavorare i muscoli che con l’uso degli occhiali tendono ad impigrirsi, si sente l’affaticamento dopo un po’ quindi vanno usati un po’ alla volta senza esagerare in ambiente luminoso e non in movimento, meglio da seduti
