Super cool
Saw a kid playing with one of these on a ski holiday and had to get one, stood up to a lot of punishment from my 2 year old but have put it on a high shelf for a year or so as it won't hold out forever! Great for some added excitement for ski holidays when introducing kids to the sport. Also would be good for model collector etc.

Molto ben fatto Robusto e di buon materiale Forse se il cingolato fosse più " morbido " si moverebbe meglio

I used to work at Wild Mountain Ski Area back in the day… And by “back” I mean that you’d need Mister Peabody’s Way Back Machine (or Doc Brown’s DeLorean, if you want to be cool about it), because we’re talking the early 80s. And though the ski resort only had 300 vertical feet, as a lift operator I got to ski for free, which was most nights and weekends. And over the span of two seasons I conservatively estimated that I skied at least 300,000 vertical feet… How many people can claim that at one of the huge mountain resorts? Anyway, Wild Mountain prided itself on trying to be the first US ski resort open each year, and managed the feat often. And they had one of the most extensive snow-making infrastructures, and a fleet of snow groomers. In fact they were one of the first in the Midwest (at least) to purchase a Kässbohrer Piston Bully snow groomer, and compared to the rather pedestrian yellow Bombardier snow cats, that Piston Bully was like Bigfoot amongst stock F-150s. So when I decided to design my own HO-scale (1/87) train layout it wasn’t gonna be relegated to my gramp’s old Lionel train endlessly circling. There’s going to be several distinct worlds to the expansive design, with one of them being a high alpine ski resort that was just devastated by an avalanche. And the Piston Bully will be using its extra-wide blade and the grip-tight steel tracks to help clear away the mounds of snow and shattered trees so rescuers can reach those that are trapped… Great, now I just gave everyone else a cool idea. But this diecast model is very detailed and authentic, and I’ll probably buy a couple more for that layout that I really hope you forget about…
