Review: I like this sling - I bought this for my detector. I almost didn't because it received some poor reviews about the sling slipping and being too short. I have to say there are limited instructions, so that might be part of the problem. The sling has plenty of adjustment and unless you are 8ft tall or have a huge stomach, it should fit. I weigh 190 and am 6'. There's plenty of adjustment. You have to take the pad off to adjust and then put it back on. As far as slipping, initially, when I took the ring out, I installed it the way it came out of the package. I couldn't get it to stay on or not slip. I then turned it over and looped it backwards through the ring...rock solid, no slip.

This is set up so you rest the weight of your machine on the sling (shoulder). When adjusted propperly your hand is used to merely swing the machine and adjust your settings, not carry its weight. It is a real game changer. You may unclip it to dig or as I do, swing it behind me.
