Nectar Fortress Natural Ant Repellent, Clear Gel Ant Guard, Twin Pack

My wife and I have used this product for years now, it is definitely effective and keeps all the ants out of her hummingbird feeders. The only catch is to make sure to re-apply during the hotter or wetter parts of summer.

I was a little skeptical that this would work as I have had a huge ant problem in the past on my hummingbird feeders. Ant traps where you have to be vigilant about adding water have never worked for me but this has worked perfectly. The only ants I have seen have been on a jelly feeder where the goo either got wiped or washed off. A very quick and easy re-application totally kept them away. I have used permethrin deterrents in the past but this is far superior as it is not a chemical poison.

Love this stuff. I normally buy it from Lowes, but they didn’t have it this year. I’m so happy I found it here on Amazon. It really keeps the ants away, but after a few heavy rainfalls, you need to reapply.

This stuff really works!! I use it instead of trying to keep the moat filled on the hummingbird feeder. I use just a little bit at the base of the pole and then a little more around the hook and the end of the charging cable that runs from the solar panel. Please keep in mind that it’s very greasy, so you will want to use a piece of plastic or a glove on your hand when applying it. I also found that it tended to discolor the paint on my pole. So I just put it at the very base of the pole. It also seems to last for several weeks.

I have been using this for about a two seasons on my hummingbird feeder. My hummingbird feeder hangs from a shepherd hook that is fixed to my deck. It works great keeps the ants from getting into the feeder itself. It lasts a few days. I typically apply every time I refill my hummingbird feeder.

I was skeptical at first if this would work but it is! I have far, far less ants in my hummingbirds feeders. It's easy to apply around the poles/hangers. You do have to apply more after a period of time especially after a harder rain that will wash it away.

I am a repeat customer of this product. It works very well to keep ants from climbing the pole where I keep my hummingbird feeder. Actually, they climb until they get to the product. All you do is make a ring around the pole itself. If there is a hard rain, I do check it. It is a decent value versus having to clean out the hummingbird feeder to rid the ants swimming in it. I haven't had to do that since using this repellant.
