Thicker than the usual crystal clear cellophane stuff, not anywhere near as fragile. Not super transparent, But I have no hecks to give about that. I want economy and practicality. The light comes through just fine, and I wouldn't say it's good for "privacy" like the description suggests; I feel like I can still see outside just fine. I didn't find shrinking it with a heat source necessary, but I can see that it might be difficult to accomplish, the plastic isn't really perfect for that. Just wait until you can get someone to help you keep it taut when installing to avoid the worst of the warbles. The tape that comes with it is just what I want; It's not the strongest ever. For the company, there's a fine line to skirt between making sure it Never Ever Detaches; and pulling paint off the wall, so I can understand why it's not super strong adhesive. They really can't win either way, but this way is far fewer property damage complaints. Probably a solid business decision, there. That said, temps inside near the windows at my place run around 63°F, and the tape has stayed up, almost all of it. Happy with the results! I say go for it.

I normally do the frost king brand and hate every moment of putting it up.This was so much easier. The tape actually worked. It is twice as thick. I did not even need to shrink it it. Looks good

I had enough plastic for 3 windows but only enough tape for 1 3/4 window. Also the plastic ripped when applying to the second window. Also once tape was cut it was hard to take backing off without messing up the tape. Returning would be a mess, but not happy with purchase.

this window kit was nice and easy to install. the film was thicker than other brands I have used. I will buy it again for next season.

Because the plastic doesn't appear particularly thick, I was skeptical when first opening this product. But it turns out I didn't need to be. There was plenty of double-sided tape to wrap around my entire window frame and it was very easy to attach the plastic. Since putting this around my window frame, I've noticed significantly less cold air getting through. If I had to estimate it, I would say that I feel about 50% less cold air is getting through because of this product.

The plastic is clear but the size you have to cut off of is really overwhelming. You can't help but to unravel the whole mess to cut a section out. I didn't want things to get on it, lint etc. So, it was very difficult. The strip to hold it up is very sticky and it is difficult to get the backing off, and it may stick where you do not want it to. Next time I will buy for precut individual windows to avoid issue.

Great product plastic is clear and can see through. The double sided tape holds really well. I have used lots of different brands of window cover over the winters. I Covered my window and immediately noticed a decrease in draft and increase in room temperature. I bought this to divide into multiple pieces. Easy to trim.

Great product. I used this window plastic to winterize our front windows so that we could still see our front yard and our decorations. I did not use heat on it, so I did rate that section, nor did I use any adhesive either. I ended up using nylon tape on the back side of the full screen, and then installed the screen. It looks great, and we are very happy with the outcome. Thanks for a great product.

No está mal por el precio, aunque si vas a cualquier tienda lo encuentras por separado a un tercio del precio. Pensé sería una película para el frío o aislante, pero es un simple plástico que evita entre el aire; solo se recorta ya que el metraje es el solicitado y adhiere con o cinta doble cara, para que quede liso se tiene que pasar una fuente de calor como la secadora. Hay opciones más elevadas de precio pero hubieran sido una mejor opción si sabía que enviarían esto.

I wish that it was clear that the product would be quite cloudy. It's not as see through as a window so I was disappointed by that. BUT it has worked all winter so far for keeping the moisture out. I am nervous about the sticky tape I have to remove though, I don't think it will come off easily from my testing.
