Is this suitable for studying when people above my room are partying?

I live in an apartment complex with a wooden frame. These are the best earplugs I've had a chance to use. I have very light sleep, and they have (most of the time) stopped loud noises like my roommate blending smoothies in the kitchen (which is next to my room). I don't wanna say that they will mitigate all types of noise at crazy volumes, but they will definitely help way more than any other store-bought plugs I've seen.
