THIS IS A FABULOUS CHER CHRISTMAS CD! If you love Cher and Christmas songs, this is a no-brainer!
OMG, a Cher Christmas CD? What's not to love? Cher's voice, amazing collaborators and songwriters, and wonderful music that makes you want to move! I hear DJ Play a Christmas Song and I.Cannot.Sit.Still, I have to dance. Baby Please Come Home with Darlene Love! Cher sung backup when Darlene first recorded that song and now they sing it together, it's come full circle! How amazing is that? I have always loved that song! All the songs on this album are great! I first heard DJ Play a Christmas Song on a Hallmark Christmas movie and I thought: "Is this Cher?? I LOVE this song!!!! Where can I get it??!!" I must have been living under a rock because I had to go searching for it online LOL As soon as I found it on Amazon I immediately ordered it based on That.One.Song! I am so glad I did because it really is a great Christmas CD of Christmas pop music.

wonderful holiday CD
I just love this CD. It has all my favorite christmas songs, which are NOT the traditional ones. And Cher performs many songs with other popular singers. Of course the most popular song is first on the CD...DJ Play my favorite song. I don't particularly like Cher, but this CD is a "keeper".

All the songs are pretty good
This is the one. There isn't a bad song in the group. Good accompanying musicians....Stevie Wonder, Cindy Lauper, Buble, ...good stuff. Cher comes through on this one.

CHRISTMAS MUSIC TO DANCE TO
Every year I try to buy a Christmas album. Cher has hit a grand slam with this album (#27). The new Christmas songs that she chose is amazing. She also has a few older songs that she sings really well. Lucky for us (her fans) she does not stick to her original “fan base” and adapts to the times. She continues to put out extraordinary music. The new songs are fantastic. The album has moved into my top 3 Christmas album play list (54 total). The more I listened I got absorbed into her music. In no time I was singing and swinging to the music. I wish I bought this sooner. I heard her ON TV at Rockefeller center and immediately bought the CD. The music has been playing all the time. I can’t wait for her new album next year.

Cher Released a Christmas Album? Yeah, THAT happened...
Is it a sign of the coming inevitable? Apocalypse or just another cash-grabbing Artist trying to get some of that good Christmas Gravy, Cher has released a Christmas album called, obviously, Christmas. Yeah, a lot of thought went into that title. Don't let the snarkiness fool you--I actually LIKE Cher (although I'd hardly call myself a fan) but Christmas isn't the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of her. Still, she did a thing and I was curious. (I also had some extra $$$ left over from a Gift Card so I took the plunge.I was, unexpectedly but pleasantly, surprised! This album has something for EVERY Cher fan whether you are from her "Believe" era or are more of a fan of "classic" Cher. It begins with "DJ Play a Christmas Song" taking all the energy and vocal tweaking of *Believe* and puts it into a Holiday song that will catch you singing along or humming the tune at the strangest times! Most of the rest of the album sticks to less vocal trickery but keeps the energy pumping to older (purely secular) Christmas song. If you are expecting Cher to put the "Christ" in "Christmas", you will be sadly disappointed. There are several songs that need to be noted in the review: "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" a duet with the original artist Darlene Love borrows A LOT from the original but I didn't mind it. "Home", a duet with Michael Bublé, is one of the slower songs on the album but it has a sweet sadness that I didn't expect from this album. Cher and Bublé blend well together (which I didn't expect) and I found myself getting a little misty by the end of the song. Cher's version of "Santa Baby" can't touch Eartha Kitt's 1954 version, but she's done a better job than any of today's contemporary "Pop Tarts" and those gals (not to mention Michael Bublé) could learn a thing or two from the old girl "Put a Little Holiday in your Heart" is the Cher duet you didn't know you needed until you heard it. With the exception of "I Like Christmas", the other original songs on the album are utterly forgettable. (I was forgetting them even as they played.)Is the album great? Hardly!! It IS, however, a fun slice of Christmas ham that's guaranteed to get the party started! Next year you'll probably forget you even HAVE this album--but this year, the high-energy, relentlessly-cheery, album is destined to kick your Holiday Party into high gear!
