Feather Quill Pen and Ink Set - Antique Calligraphy Dip Pen with Ink, 5 Replacement Nibs and Pen Stand Base for Beginners Writing (Red)

To be fair, I mostly got this for the aesthetics of it, especially now that it's October/Halloween. The gold paint splatters on the feather are gorgeous. The base is beautiful. I do plan to use it eventually (and will update this review when I do), but for now, I'm here to say that this is beautiful. It's packaged nicely, too! The pen is tied into the box with a pretty ribbon, and all the inks have an indented spot to hold them. The nibs each have an elastic to keep them in place. It's a really nice set.

The feather is colorful, nib seems strong. Beautiful nibs, the wax and stamp are so fun. The letter opener is also very nice. My grandson couldn't be happier!

Easy to use, looks very authentic, and working with the seller was fantastic.

Great gift idea

I not the most experienced quill user, so may be just user error. But the nibs are all VERY stiff so don't flow ink very consistently. The feel in hand is nice although the faux feather does crinkle and split easily vs a natural one so I almost find myself fixing the feather more often than writing with it. I use it more for sketching and practice calligraphy than actual writing until I get a better feel for it.

Great for a beginner, cute set, looks nice on the desk, decent nibs - again, great for someone who's a beginner and just starting out.

I got this Feather Quill Pen and Ink Set because I saw it and have always wanted to have one and try to use it. When I received it and opened the box, I was amazed with it. You get everything you need to start right away.I have to admit, that when I was examining it, I took my time studying it and just admiring the beauty of it all. What great craftmanship in everything. The Feather is just stunning, the black with the speckle gold, the handle where you hold it and the holder itself are just beautiful. Has the antique look and are metal. Comes with a nice assortment of ink colors and a nice assortment of tips too.After admiring it for a while, I didn't want to mess anything up and was to scared to use it and dirty it. So, I decided to use it as decoration on my antique desk and it looks Fantastic. Maybe one day I will use it and try to see how it writes, but right now it's decoration. Just gave that special touch to my desk.I do highly recommend it, the beauty of it. The price is unbelievable and a great deal.Would make an awesome gift for someone too.

I got this to give my daughter for Christmas, and I'm really happy with how it looks. It has five different colored inks, and six different nibs and a nice heavyweight stand. The gold flecks on the feather are obviously paint, but it looks pretty and I'm happy with it.
