Excellent result, but desparately needs safety guidelines.
I used the 500 ml black leather colourant with matte finish to recolour a red leather chair, which I believe is made of protected leather (see pictures attached).I did not know what to expect from this product, since I have never worked with leather before. The result was amazing, but I took off one star because the product lacks any relevant safety information. Updated chemical hazard pictograms would be really useful, since I have no idea what other additives the recolourant contains. The product is not too runny and gives off a slight smell of mascara. It is easy to work with such consistency, since it is enough to protect the floor with a few newspapers. The product dries really quickly, I did not need to apply a hairdryer. The recolourant will not smooth out any cracks, but it will completely hide discolouration and will give overall "fresher" look, since the colour will become uniform. The process:After reading some online advices on the topic, I followed these steps:- clean the leather with mild dishwasher soap- mask wooden parts and studs with masking tape (I used TESA yellow masking tape)- prep leather with generous amount of acetone- apply VERY THIN layers of recolourant with the normal dishwashing sponge. Repeat this process 3-5 times, depending on your patience level.- take off the masking tape- use the tiniest paintbrush (and enormous patience) to apply colour around studs and medium brush to dye inside the hard-to-reach places.- For extra protection I used the https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00EONSX1W/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2but I believe it is not mandatory.Notes:- 500 ml is WAYYY too much for a chair like mine. 250 ml would have been fine if you want to be on the safe side.- Protect studs and woodwork before applying prep. It is almost impossible to get it off once the colourant is dry. Also, it is not that easy to wipe off the studs without touching freshly painted leather parts, so I suggest either taking off studs beforehand, or using a paintbrush.- the thinner your first layer is, the better overall result will look like. If you rub to the point that you end up with slightly shaded leather and a dry sponge, you are doing it right.

Happy With it
Bought this a couple of months ago. I didn't want to submit a review until I knew for sure that it works.I had a deep red large 3-2-1 and poof 1000mls was enough to cover all 4 with a little left over. I used 4 coats on them all. Easy enough to apply. I gave them 2 weeks to fully cure and wiped them down with a damp cloth and colour was coming off. A little disappointed in this as it is meant to be an all in one. I then proceeded to find a leather finisher to seal it in which worked a treat and Suite looks fab. It's like a totally new suite. I just love it and anyone that has seen it can't believe how good it looks. Well worth the time and effort to get it right and all for under €100. Saved me a fortune on a new suite. In fairness this suite was in a sorry state over 10yrs old so felt I had nothing to loose by trying it. I am so glad I did. I would recommend but I would also recommend that you purchase a leather finisher also. Before and after pictures added.

Amazing Sofa Upcycle!
Probably the best DIY hack in the history of time! We had oxblood red leather sofas which I hated and when decorating and updating our lounge we decided that we would upcycle our sofas rather than purchasing new with two small children! Worked perfectly. We did two coats over two nights. My husband and I worked together to rub in with a sponge and used the hairdryer on the creases. One 500ml bottle of dark brown did two sofas and there's plenty left for touch ups. No transfers onto clothes etc and tbh even if they fade a bit...it's no hassle to repeat the process. So quick and easy! We didn't even argue once which is generally what happens during a DIY project! 🤣🤣🤣

However I'm really pleased with the results so far & I can tell ...
I am changing the colour of 2 large 3 seater sofa's (dark green to cream) so I've just ordered a larger bottle to finish the job. I wanted to try the product out first because I found it hard to believe that it would be possible. However I'm really pleased with the results so far & I can tell that they are going to look amazing! Still a bargain as saving me £1000's. There are video/picture instructions available online so just use common sense & follow them & you'll be fine. I cleaned sofa & then prepared with acetone first to create the right base, then just apply with a sponge & build up layers, allowing to dry in between each one. Don't be impatient with this - it does work & dries quickly between coats, so do it right as per instructions & you'll be as delighted as I am. What a great idea!

You can actually paint your old sofas so they look like new!
I bought this product as I needed to change the colour of my sofa as buying a new one would be to costly. It was a risk as I didn’t know if it would work or not. I did a corner sofa, swivel chair and foot stool. 5 coats on each and still some left in the bottle. I don’t know how it’ll hold up yet but I’m impressed by the transformation. Before it was cream/brown. Now it’s dark grey.

Amazing results
Ordered dark brown to try and revive my two and three seater sofa that was badly worn and an eye sore that I got from a leading retailer that I had constant issues with the colouring and excessive discolouration from new.Got two litres which was way too much and never even needed 500ml after doing three to four coats of this product on both sofas. The end result was far better than I had ever expected and they look like new again. My tip is on badly worn areas like I had is to dap it on with a sponge and let it dry while doing over areas to blend then go back and dap it on again, keep repeating and the end result is fantastic and no one would ever know you have recoloured your sofa but thought you have brought a new oneTime will tell as to how well it wears but for the money I will just recolour it again.Don’t chuck it, recolour it with this cracking product and save £££££££££’s
