Works great
I bought three of these to use with 256GB NVME drives. They work great as portable drives to boot with Linux. They are also great for data transfer and backup. For the low price, I have not seen any problems. I would buy again if needed.

Buen producto
Buen producto, lo único malo es que para abrir y poder meter la memoria es muy duro. Si se hace con mucha fuerza o al lado contrario del que tiene se puede romper

It works.
Does what it says it does, pretty simple to install. Works with any USB-C cable so it doesn't really matter which one you get with it.If you're getting slow speeds then it's probably because the USB on your device is slow. I tried it off the usb hub on my monitor and was getting half the rated speeds, but once I plugged directly to USB3 on my PC it got the speeds in the picture.

Great solution for NVMe as an external drive, or to copy a disk through an upgrade.
This is my second ORICO product. I also have the USB3.0 adapter for 2.5" SATA drives. My satisfaction with that product was a primary reason for choosing this one.As shown in the pictures from the sales page, it comes with an internal heatsink and with a USB C cable on which you can choose to have an A or C connector on the other side. You should choose this along with the color when you order - if it does not say C to A cable then it is a C to C cable. The provided heat sink slides over an SSD, and then when you put the outer shell over it, the two make contact, so that the internal heat sink can transfer heat to the outer shell. I like that design and it doesn't need fans.I was upgrading a computer with a single SSD slot inside, so this allowed me to duplicate the internal disk to the new one, and then swap them after I was done. For this task, I did not remove the clear plastic from thermal transfer block that was shipped with this adapter. I left the plastic on because I did not want to have trouble taking everything apart and using this with other SDD drives in the future - and that worked just fine for me. The design seems to have re-use that in mind, as the screw that usually holds the SDD in place was replaced with a rubber push-grommet. And they provided a spare one in case you lose or break the first one.I didn't run a speed test, but the experience was very good - certainly faster than I've ever been able to copy a disk before. Not AHCI. I had a spare Samsung SM951 SDD laying around after the upgrade, so I was hoping to use that in this adapter as an external drive for backups and the like, however I found out that the adapter is NVMe only and will not support the AHCI protocol use on older AHCI SSDs.

Small rubber tabs to holdin sad drive had. Trouble to secure
What I liked small easy to open they gave you thermal pad and heat sink. What I did not like was those small rubber tabs to hold down the sad drive . They kept popping off I bought 2 of those enclosures and the same results. They give you a extra one lost the first tab right away . Push and turn was difficult. Other similar enclosures had better mechanisms . Once I got it finally set up worked as discribed .
