I live at 6,800 feet, the high altitude sun destroys everything quickly. But this was ou in direct sun from May until October. No discoloration, no cracks or dry rot. Aside from dirt stains, it is as it was new.

I had a Franklin which did last long at all....this Rawlings one is heavier and more to actual size.....I elected not to put the stakes because I didn't want to fill the turf with holes......and is heavy enough to stay in place.

Bought for my boyfriend. He liked it very much. Just what he wanted. It is well made from the plate itself to the stakes. The size is also good.

As described. Stakes hold very well. We use solely to pitch, so can not speak on durability of plate yet.

As far durability and quality of the build, it is great! HOWEVER, I bought this in November as a photo prop for baseball Seniors and leagues. It has been indoors ever since I bought it. I got it out this week for an upcoming session and it was splotchy yellow all over. The areas where the spikes would have been attached underneath remained white on top, but everywhere else had a dirty yellow tint in the rubber. Could not be washed off or even bleached.

This is extremely well made and sturdy, which I had hoped when ordering due to the price. We have gone through a few rubber base sets at this point and my son still loves to set up baseball diamonds to practice outside. I decided it was time to invest in something that would last. These fit the bill. They are more permanent, so we had to set up an area in the yard for baseball. They have held up well through various weather situations. Definitely an investment, but if you are all in on baseball or need them for an actual league, these are a great option.
