The hydroponic system works well, lightweight and easy to get it set up. I planted flower seeds and they sprouted within 2 days. The only draw back that I see are the running times, 16hrs and 22hrs, I find this to be a little long.

This kit provides 3 full refills of nutrient mix (3 pouches of A and 3 pouches of B), including bottles, a ton of planting cones and even tweezers. All for an extremely low price which makes the Ahopegarden system very affordable. Excellent purchase.

Lettuce, basil and tomatoes oh my! I moved from a property with a large garden to a townhouse with a patio too hot for container gardening. So I read the reviews and purchased the Ahopegarden. Get it? A hope garden. That’s what it is to me. I bought 2 on sale and extra pods and plant food from Amazon Haul. Also a collection of herb and veggie seeds. Within 2 days I had sprouts! The garden is easy to set up. The instructions are clearly written. Maintenance includes checking water levels daily and refilling with food and water as needed. The water circulation motor is very quiet, quiet enough that you may think it’s not working. I had to put my ear an inch from the water tank to hear it. Then be ready to prune plants to eat. I clip outer lettuce leaves and top leaves from basil. Once the light box is fully extended, I clip crowded plants and tall plants which touch the lights. Buying two Ahopegardens is useful because I can plant seeds in the second garden while harvesting from the first one. Plant growth and health are as good as in any outdoor garden. The plants grow faster than in an outside garden, probably due to consistent light, water and food. The garden is durable and seems sturdy. It sits in a convenient place and doesn’t have to be moved. Besides providing fresh greens for anyone, this is also a terrific garden for people with impaired mobility, children (with age appropriate supervision) and wherever there is extreme weather. This has been my first experience with hydroponics and I’m loving it. Highly recommended product.

I ordered this kit as a replacement for MetryGrow hydro garden. My original concern was that the sponges would be too short (they were measuring 2" dry), but they expanded to 2.5" and fitted the baskets in my garden very nicely. The nutrient A took some time to dissolve, but it did, and there were no issues with it.

This Ahopegarden was easy to use and every seed popped in perfect time. I was so pleased I purchased 2 more. Happy gardener. MEL

Pretty solidly 50/50. A lot of my seeds struggled to root and algae was a MAJOR problem as was rotting/molding. Only reason I’m saying 3 and not 2 is because I had some that worked even with the algae. That said, a lot had a really difficult time transplanting. I think the sponge keeps the seed too wet. Doesn’t work on bigger seeds - had a little luck cutting more out of the hole, but it was difficult to do so. The sponges are pretty dense. Stickers are okay, but don’t stay on as well as they could.

I start my plants inside before growing season starts. This is my second order of pods and they are easy to use. Plus plant food is included which gives the starts an extra boost before planting.
