The 1980s rule
For $27 or so, how can you go wrong? It’s a fun, digital throwback. It’s easy to use, it’s stainless steel, keeps good time and makes me want to watch Back to the Future.Only negative: the light is poor. Almost unusable. But that’s ok.Fun addition to a collection.

Digital de Acero
No hay muchas opciones de Digitales de Acero y a este precio diría que es la única parece tener un problema con la luz tal vez sea que la batería está cercana al cambio no es mayor problema

Accurate and feels premium
Used materials - steel for case and real glass make this watch feel premium, but also relatively heavy and it wears top heavy compared to Casios. It's also very accurate - fast about 5 sec per month. Alarm and beeps are quite high pitch. Just wish it had countdown timer too.

Exceeded my expectations
I was delighted after unboxing and wearing the Armitron Rubik. Typically, at this price point, you're looking at a plastic or resin case with a flimsy strap. However, this watch feels much more premium compared to a similar-priced Casio. The case is made entirely of stainless steel, and the bracelet is impressively good. The finishing is quite decent, with consistent brushing on both the case and bracelet. Fortunately, the watch is not prone to scratches or fingerprints. In terms of functionality, it includes an alarm, stopwatch, and a second time zone. You can also set it to chime every hour, which I find quite handy. The display is clear and easy to read. My only gripe is the backlight, which is practically useless, as many reviewers have noted. However, this isn't a deal breaker for me. I would rate this watch 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5).

Do yourself a favor and add this to your collection
Wow the quality of this watch for the price crazy. Pictures do not do this watch justice. Beautiful watch, easy to operate, nice wieght and size. No complaints what so ever.

Excellent watch beyond competition
Excellent watch for its price! Glass is mineral, case is steel. Screen readability is not as good as Casio, but also at a fairly good level. Backlight is not bad, but the button is not always responsive and because of this sometimes flickering occurs and you need to press it again several times. Perhaps over time the button will become softer and the defect will be eliminated. I can recommend the watch for purchase.

So much fun
Classic style digital time piece. If you enjoy the old metal squares of the 80’s you’ll really enjoy these. They feel stronger and more substantial since it’s a solid metal build. Does it have the greatest light for dark viewing? No but it looks and feels great, keeps excellent time and really add to the nostalgia factor. At such an easy price this is a no brainer. If you’re a fan of classic watches then grab one.

2 in a row were bad. I give up.
Everything looked great at first. Retro look but all stainless construction. It feels quality. There’s weight to it. It doesn’t have that weightless feel like a comparable Casio. Super clear screen. All looked perfect. Until I got to the backlight.Every picture and video I’ve seen of this watch shows a green backlight that is said to be even worse than a Casio A158/159/f91w. Worse than those would be comically bad. So imagine my surprise when the watch had a WHITE backlight. And bright! Looks like Armitron updated this thing with a proper LED that works. But it doesn’t work. It began to flicker, fade, and die all the way down to almost completely off. A few more taps of the pusher brought the light back to life but pushing it too hard or too soft made it flicker again and fade out or pop back to a beautifully intense brightness that would have been perfect. The upper right pusher also makes a sizzling sound when held down. That can’t be good. I figured it was just a bad connection. Shirt circuit or something. So Amazon sent me another one and three days later I had a second watch with the exact same problem. A flickering, fading, useless backlight that would have been absolutely amazing if it maintained that maximum brightness before flickering out.I didn’t want to give just one star because it’s a nice watch and for initial quality, goes toe to toe for looks with any Casio. But they are obviously very poorly made as I had 2 in a row with the same defect. It’s also odd that the lights are white and not green like everyone else’s. Maybe I’ll try again in a few months and see if these were just from a bad batch. Or maybe not. I’m just disappointed in Armitron for such bad QC.
