Lifestraw was a Lifesaver!
I ordered the life straw bottle to take to Kenya with me for 2 months of volunteering and was not disappointed. I was living with a local family in a very rural town so water was not filtered. But I could simply fill up my Lifestraw bottle from any kind of tap or running water and it did a great job. I carried my Lifestraw with me everywhere, and always stayed hydrated and never got ill once! Good job lifestraw! Would thoroughly recommend and will be taking my Lifewstraw bottle with me on my next trip! One of my most essential items whilst in Kenya!I also found out that one of the designers of Lifestraw used to work at the same place I was working and they had provided a lot of the local schools I was teaching in with Lifestraw water filter systems for the school kids, very impressive!

Effective, cost saving, and environmentally friendly
Bought for a trekking trip to Nepal. I did not want to be buying several bottles of water per day as these have to be hauled into the mountains by donkey and are typically not disposed of in an environmental way. The bottle is a bit expensive, but when you think you will get around 1000 litres of filtered water from it, then it's a small outlay for the savings.Used it over 6 weeks in Nepal and was not sick. Saved me buying approximately 168 bottles (@ 4 bottles per day). It must be noted that it only filters bacteria. It will not filter viruses.

Almost perfect
Well aside from the weird taste you get at first and the fact that the straw isn't tall enough for the bottle so there's always some leftover water in the bottle. Its perfect

It works!
Brought my Lifestraw back in Match 19 to go to India/Indonesia/Singapore/Malasya and drunk from very dodgy water taps. No gut issues to report. 6 months and a full blood test after, all good.Only one thing to say, the top of the bottle is leaking loads. I tried to look go a warranty or a solution but nothing so far. But, I strongly advice to to get one if you are going to travel.

57 grams and 1,000 liters – great buy
For the weight, I believe there is no better backcountry water treatment available on the market today. LifeStraw operates without chlorine or any chemicals with means no strange flavors like most other filters in the market. The flow rate is perfectly great for active pursuits, there is no moving parts to break or filters that need replacing every couple of days, and it does all this at a fraction of the cost and weight of other filter and UV water treatment options. Furthermore, what other water treatment system has been tested successfully by people on a daily basis in the most contaminated parts of our planet? A final plus is the fact that for every LifeStraw sold a child in Africa will receive clean water for an entire year! This is simply amazing.

Careful with leaks and pressure surges!
Testing at home and not in the field. I am confident the filter will work as advertised and the taste of my tap water is definitely improved.However...The first one leaked on initial testing - on its side or upside down with the straw closed. It's the OUTSIDE of the straw at the hinge where it passes through the lid. Means that contaminated water can get on the straw. Not good. My daughter's leaks in the same way albeit after about 90 days' use. Over time would soak the inside of a rucksack. The replacement I now have from Amazon is very secure, with an excellent seal. Maybe too good! The problem now is that if you fill with cold water and it gets warm then with the expansion and increase in internal pressure when the straw is opened the water spurts out as if out of a whale's spout! This is water coming up the INSIDE of the straw. The lesson is to unscrew the top a little to release the pressure before opening the drinking straw. It's curious because there appears to be a pressure relief valve and if that is the case then the valve is not working. Writing this I'm in two minds as to whether to send this one back too...

Fantastic Buy
Amazing! We purchased this for our son prior to his Gold Duke Of Edinburgh expedition to Dartmoor. We were trying to keep that weight down in in rucksack and this proved perfect. No more having to carry lots of water, just find any water source fill up the Lifestraw Go Water Bottle and drink! We have been very impressed with it. Easy to use and clean and as important the purchase of this item also provides a child in Africa with clean water for a year. Add it to your basket now!

Miglior acquisto dell’anno
Acqua fresca e pulita in qualsiasi momento.
