I purchased this filter kit to use with our mini-split system which has a filter, but is fairly useless. I hoped this would be a good solution to the dust that accumulates on the fins (coils) of the system, but it seemed to obstruct the airflow when I tacked it down fully on the air intake. I may try just placing it on the air intake without securing it, hoping it will remove alot of the dust that gets in. I live in southern AZ where there is constantly a dust issue, so it's difficult to keep it from accumulating anywhere. I'm sure for other applications, it would work really well and as intended.
