Nice quality, easy to play
The game pieces were really good quality, especially the way the box and boards inside feels. Playing the game was pretty easy to start up, the fun part was seeing what everyone guessed and sometimes the wrong answers were really funny! Will probably buy another for presents when Christmas shopping starts.

Very well made - directions are NOT simple
I love games, wanted to play this with my Grandkids that like to draw and play games, frankly I went online to look and see if they had any video tutorials or a video of anyone playing the game and couldn't find one. (lots of Connect4, though, who knew!) I did find the directions online and I found them confusing and I have a Series 7 license... maybe actually playing it will make the directions make sense, but so far it is currently sitting in the beautiful box. IF we play it, I will update this review.

Confusing directions..read them ALL first
Overall, this is an OK game. It has several modes of play from solo to cooperative and competitive versions. It is confusing as heck at first, though. The directions are not well written and can be very confusing unless you read them through more than once and in FULL before you start playing. THe concept is simple, read the challenge and connect the images on your board according to the rules for each challenge...and yet it is still confusing.

Good fast paced game
This game is surprisingly more fun than you would think. One great thing about this game is you can play with a lot of people. you can play with with up to 10 people. So this is a great nice easy party game. It’s super easy to explain. Everybody gets a board and those boards have a picture in them. But they have a ton of little emojis on the board. You have to figure out what the common theme is of the emojis and connect them to find out what your picture looks like. this is a quick game. Everybody will be laughing by the end of the night. It comes with everything you need, but I would recommend getting dry. Erase markers to replace the ones that come in the box. It starts at age 8, and my nine-year-old daughter had no problem playing this.

Great solo activity for adults or children
This is a great game for adults or children to play solo.I ordered it for an older family member to fill time, and she enjoys the variety of cards and the challenge presented by having several images which look similar but different.Drawing over and over on the same boards with dry-erase pens makes this an eco friendly option as well.

Low replayability, not especially easy to learn
This game is all about using clues to trace patterns on the game board, with the idea that the person who finishes first (and/or figures out what the connected lines are supposed to depict) wins the round. There's a specific set of skills one has to learn to draw the lines (e.g., a straight line versus a curve). This means that you need to consistently play with the same group of people, because you can't bring new people in once you're several puzzles into the game, because they won't understand how to "read" the clues. At the same time, there's no point in starting over from the beginning, because you'll already have seen all the earlier puzzles as new people are learning. This significantly impairs the replayability of the game. On top of this, the resulting pictures don't necessarily look like what they're supposed to be, which can be frustrating when it comes to guessing. I would say that, unless you're patient and plan to play the game consistently with the same group, this one isn't worth it.

A little disconnected to start
Connecto is a very nicely produced game. The components (cards, player boards, pens, timer, instructions) are all very well produced and packaged in a nice-sized, high-quality box. So all good there, but it did take a while to get playing as the instructions were a bit of a challenge to understand quickly. I did appreciate the fact that several ‘tutorials’ were included to help grasp the concepts, but it still took some time. If you’re planning to play this with kids, I’d recommend spending some time familiarizing yourself with how to play before engaging the young ones. Fortunately, Connecto can even be played in solo mode, so it’s got you covered there as well. Once we were up and playing we had fun. This isn’t really a strategy game; there’s a little bit of a race element to the game, but it’s primarily about quick recognition. If that’s your cup of tea, you’re sure to enjoy Conecto.

No-reading fun for 2-5 players / teams of 2. Co-op play w/ 8+ yrs; competitive w/ 12+ yrs
Connecto lands squarely in the party game category. It includes hefty deck of 96 large (tarot-sized) cards, five double-sided player mats, five dry erase pens with erasers, a sand timer, and the instructions. The attached photo shows the three "getting started" cards from the game. Each one has a small puzzle plus the solution drawn out on a tiny player board. Actual puzzle cards and player boards have a lot more symbols. In a round of Connecto, the players reveal a puzzle card. Then, they try to find the smaller images from the card with larger versions on their player boards. Once they find a match, they connect it to the next symbol shown on the card. If they do it right, the connected group of symbols shows a simple line drawing like an envelope or a dog. The first player to name the item in the line drawing wins the round and scores points. Players then erase their boards and flip a new puzzle. The game also makes sure nobody runs away with the win just because they're better at finding pictures. After winning a round, the winning player has to flip over their player board so all the pictures are black and white instead of color. It's a lot more challenging to match color pictures to their black and white counterparts! The big deck of double-sided cards give you 184 puzzles to play at varying skill levels. Each game only uses a few puzzles, so you can mix cards to match the players. You can also play the game cooperatively -- trying to figure out the image as a group -- which is perfect for playing with parents and smaller children.Recommended for friends and family groups!
