Works the way it should

The string broke on my offset umbrella. Just as I finished restringing it, the handle fell off the crank. The inside of the crank was rusty and irreparable. Instead of buying a whole new offset umbrella for much more money, I purchased this replacement crank and it works like a dream. It’s easy to install, though I have to share that disconnecting the old crank was a nightmare for me. I ended up drilling through the rivets that were in my old crank and having to purchase 2 shiny new screws that fit tightly in the holes. You can see one in the pic. The cord was already attached to the crank and it was exactly the right length.I gave 4 stars because…1. I wish it had come with replacement screws or some sort of fasteners as well. It took a trip to the big box store and then once there, taking forever to find screws exactly the right size for me to be able to install it. The maker surely knows we have to destroy odd fasteners for this repair.2. I wish it also came in dark brown. My umbrella pole is dark brown.Overall I’m pleased. Being able to replace the broken crank saved me approximately $50 or more!

This umbrella crank replacement was very easy to install. Makes a big difference how much easier it is to open the umbrella. Well worth the investment.

Easy to attach , impossible to operate. Returned 1 , my replacement broke on trying to crank the umbrella up, got angry and trashed the whole umbrella

Fit was close but pre drilled holes did not align perfectly. Product is installed and works as advertised.

It is very easy to install, only take around 5 mins to get it done. It is smooth to turn the handle and it makes it very easy to open my yard umbrella.
