The address of the manufacturer is Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and according to Maangchi, Korean cooking teacher, Yeongyang-gun is famous for producing good red peppers especially for kimuchi. Also the package shows photos of its drying and other processing.

Q: Is this available with mild spicy, coarse flakes? It doesn't seem to let me choose this option.
