I picked up this bookbinding kit to dive into some DIY projects, and I’ve been pretty happy with it overall. It comes with a ton of tools — everything from bone folders and waxed thread to needles, awls, brushes, clips, and even a little storage bag, all of which makes it feel like a good starter set if you’re new to binding or crafting your own books. The pieces are easy to use right out of the bag. The bone folders help get clean folds and smooth edges, and the thread seems high quality, and it's nicely waxed. There’s enough variety in needle sizes and tools that I didn’t have to run out for extras on my first few projects. Nothing here feels super high-end or fancy, but that’s exactly what you’d expect at this price. It covers all the basics you need to start binding your own books, repairing pages, or tackling other paper-and-craft projects. If you’re just getting into this kind of crafting and want one kit that has most of what you’ll use regularly, this one’s a solid choice.

First of all I just love the case, silver with gold accessory...I may even use it for something else! Everything you need and more is included for book binding. I was actually searching for thread and came upon this item - there are six spools!! So many needles to choose from! I don't have to search for what I need anymore- its all in one place now. Happy!

This is a great beginner kit! As I've gotten more experience with bookbinding, I've wanted to upgrade the awl, but what's in this kit has worked fine. All the items are super useful and of relatively good quality for the price.

Right now I'm in between living spaces and, to keep my sanity, I needed to make some journals. All of my regular equipment is in the other living space, so I ordered this little kit with the basic necessities to put together a couple of junk journals for the Year of the Dragon. What a life saver! All you need is the glue and a little waxed paper. The rest is in the very handy zippered case. (OK, and maybe a better pair of scissors but that's my absolute must have.) This kit is a treat!

I just learned how to make my own sketchbook from video. Very satisfied with this set of tools especially I don’t have any of them. Can’t wait to try them out.
