Recommended Purchase
I really am pleased with this. It was easy to put together and looks great! It is a little lighter than I expected but is fine once the water is in it. The bowl is a nice size and works well with a solar fountain.

Well made and large, but the securement ground spikes are not sufficient anchors
I purchased this for my backyard and am happy with the birdbath structure and design. I had one of these some years ago, and the basin cracked after being outside for one year, so it is not the most durable material. I still like it well enough to purchase a replacement of the same model. The 20 inch basin is wide and deep enough to put a small solar fountain inside. I learned from the first one I purchased that it really must be on level ground, and the included ground spikes are much too short to provide a firm anchor. I purchased (separately) 11 inch long heavy duty metal tent spikes and used six on this to secure it, and they hold it absolutely firm in its spot. The birdbath is popular with my resident songbirds, and they seem to like that the decorative holes in the rim allow them to perch easily to get drinks. If you need a large birdbath on a budget, this is an excellent choice. Photo: green birdbath side view, with a small floating solar fountain (sold separately) in the basin.

It’s easy to set up and comes with cracks to hold it in place❤️
This is my second Bird Bath it’s fancier and brighter maybe because it’s new, but my crows, Magpies, squirrels all of them love it, there is always fresh water, I clean it and put fresh water every day, they all stop by to have a drink, or to take a bath to kool off, birds love it and I enjoy watching them eat and drink they have a blast and they know where to come for lunch and a drink❤️❤️ Totally worth the money and they love my house, and I love them here!!!!

LOOKS BEAUTIFUL
Very classy looking fountain. You will definitely need to use the stakes to secure it because it is VERY lightweight, but it also makes it super easy to move. The basin is deep which holds water well (my last one was so shallow the water evaporated too quick). I put the shells there for perching. After I took this pic, I added a couple of pieces of slate rock in the bottom to create a more shallow landing pad for birds. I refill it nearly daily to keep water fresh and added the copper flower to help keep it clean (and honestly, it stays SO clean unlike my last concrete one!). I have had it for 2 months and other than hosing it out, I haven't needed to clean it. Very happy with it.

Lightweight & Easy to Assemble, But Lacks Stability in Wind
**Honest Vine Review: Lightweight & Easy to Assemble, But Lacks Stability in Wind** **Product:** VIVOHOME 28-Inch Polyresin Pedestal Bird Bath for Garden/Outdoor **Tested In:** Suburban Backyard / Garden Bed **Overall Rating:** ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3.0/5 Stars) --- ### **Overview & First Impressions** Adding a water feature to a garden is a great way to attract local birds, and this 28-inch polyresin pedestal bird bath from VIVOHOME offers a classic, antique-look design at a budget price point. Out of the box, the copper/bronze-finished resin looks attractive from a distance. The three-piece assembly (base, pedestal, and bowl) screws together easily without needing any tools—I had it fully set up in under 5 minutes. --- ### **Key Performance & Testing Highlights** * **Weight & Stability:** Because it is made of lightweight hollow polyresin rather than heavy concrete or ceramic, the unit itself weighs under 6 pounds when empty. **Without added ballast, it will easily tip over in strong winds or if a larger bird or squirrel lands on the rim.** The pedestal column is hollow, allowing you to fill it with sand or small pebbles through the base, which is almost mandatory for stability. Even with sand added, the top bowl feels a bit top-heavy when filled with water. * **Anchor Stakes:** The kit includes three ground stakes to secure the base to the lawn or garden soil. They help hold the footprint down, but the lightweight metal stakes tend to bend if your soil is hard or rocky. * **Bowl Depth & Bird Attraction:** The basin is reasonably wide, but the center bowl section is somewhat deep for smaller songbirds (like finches or sparrows) to bathe comfortably without feeling out of their depth. Adding a few smooth flat river rocks inside the bowl helps provide a shallow stepping area for smaller birds. --- ### **Pros & Cons** #### **What Works Well:** * **Quick, Tool-Free Assembly:** Sections thread into each other smoothly in minutes. * **Low Maintenance & Weatherproof:** Resin won't rust, crack from freezing water, or shatter if knocked over like glass or ceramic baths. * **Classic Aesthetic:** The green/copper patina finish blends well into outdoor gardens and flowerbeds. #### **What Needs Improvement:** * **Extremely Top-Heavy Unfilled:** Must be filled with sand/gravel to prevent blowing over in moderate winds. * **Bowl Depth:** Too deep in the middle for tiny birds unless you add rocks to shallow it out. * **Resin Finish Durability:** The decorative patina finish on resin can slowly fade or flake over time under direct, harsh summer sun and constant water immersion. --- ### **Final Verdict** The **VIVOHOME 28-Inch Polyresin Bird Bath** is an okay entry-level option if you want a decorative garden piece without heavy lifting or high costs. However, its lightweight nature requires extra effort—filling the core with sand and anchoring it firmly—to keep it standing upright during stormy weather. **Recommendation:** *Decent for sheltered garden corners or budget-conscious buyers, but those in high-wind areas may want to consider heavier ceramic or cast-stone alternatives.*

Nice Decorative Bird Bath — But Please Read Entire Review!
This bird bath is a really pretty addition to our deck. The green pedestal design blends nicely with outdoor plants, and the size of the bowl is just right for our little frog fountatin without taking up too much space. It was easy to set up and feels stable once placed on level ground. The material seems durable and weather-resistant so far, and it holds up well in sun and light rain. I also like that it’s lightweight enough to move if needed, but still sturdy enough to stay put. It’s more decorative than heavy-duty, but it does its job and looks great in a garden setting. UPDATE: After one week in the sun, the pedestal began listing to the side because the resin had warped in the heat! (See additional photos) Mind you, I live in Upstate New York — not Florida or Arizona where it gets super-hot. It’s going back, and I wouldn’t buy a similar product again.

Description of birdbath was perfect
Because we are in a drought and the color of the birdbath (I think), birds are attracted to the water both for swimming and drinking.
