Good option for kids
This paddle is criticized for it's limited adjustment range, I've measured it to be adjustable between 76.5-86" in roughly 3/4" increments. Suitable for people that are 5'8" to 6'5" according to some charts. What wasn't immediately obvious to me is that you can build this paddle with one of the middle sections taken out, making it a 4-piece paddle instead of 5-piece. This changes the adjustment range to be 60-69.5", making it suitable for someone between 4'5" and 5'1" approximately. Making it perhaps the only paddle that me and my 10-year-old can comfortably share. This is a very nice paddle, built of quality composite materials, with very tight tolerances and a high quality feel to it. Yes, there is still some play in the shaft, and obvious limitations in terms of adjustability. Yes, there are many options available for adults, especially if you don't care much about a paddle folding to a very compact size. But as far as shorter SUP paddles go (suitable for kids and shorter adults) most option's I've seen are either junk or very expensive, and this might be the only option in this price range that is actually any good.

Blade doesn’t float.
Well, the blade slipped off the shaft, and sank in 30’ of turbid New England pond water… on its second use. Now I have a brand new SUP paddle shaft with no blade. So while the handle and shaft may float, the blade doesn’t. The paddle I purchased to replace this one has the blade attached to a section of shaft and it does indeed float. All separating parts float on the replacement. What a shame.

Defective
The collapsable part doesn't fit into the rest of the paddle, only its very end and it's hard to fit even this - so it's not adjustable at all. Other than that seems fine, a pity that it needs to be returned.
