Review: Five Stars - Simple and clear instructions with good drilling routines. Would recommend. Review: Good but a few design flaws effect its ease of use. - i purchased this book to use as a reference tool and sits in my library of 100's of judo and ju-jitsu books. this review is based on my experiences as a practitioner of judo and jujitsu and as a professional coach and educator.. This is an interesting book with some basic drills found in many classes and warm ups for both bjj and judo. the splitting the drills into solo and partner drills is over simplistic and would benefit I feel from being grouped by position of technique group being worked, this allows a coach or student to use them to fit into a training programme more effectively. The book suffers form some basic design flaws that make it awkward to read and use. The first is the layout in columns, it makes the book feel like a collection of magazine pages rather than a reference book. again the font size and alignment of the columns . This layout is then compounded by the size of photographs man sequences are 3 to 6 photos in length and when they re less than an inch square they serve no real purpose in illustrating moves, and are not referred to in the text. this means that if you are unfamiliar with a drill they are not as helpful as they should be. Individual drill photos look okay, the partner work suffers as it looks like they were shot in two seasons the first the two fighters have different colour gis making identification of body parts and who is doing what easy. the second session, as in the cover photo has both fighters in blue gi tops. this make dome of the close body work awkward to see and is compounded by the size of the photos. the book has some nice content but I feel suffers from a professional design eye or editor viewing it, or it being viewed by someone outside the authors using a draft as a tool. if this was addressed in a second printing or in future work from these authors it would I feel be better suited to its objective of being a reference or educational tool

Ottimo promemoria
Il libro mi รจ arrivato oggi, รจ un ottimo promemoria di contenuti e di basi per le tecniche. Non ho dato il massimo delle stelle solo per la grafica e alcune foto. Ma sui contenuti non si discute. Consigliato.

This book absolutely does a great job marketing itself
This book absolutely does a great job marketing itself. Calling it "101 Drills..." makes it seem like there is no possible way you could not be getting your money's worth. Well think again the book is outrageously overpriced, outrageously short and the pictures of the drills are outrageously small. There are plenty of other books that include more drills for jiu jitsu than this book and they don't cost as much at this terrible book.

Good book for the insider
Good book for the insider. Gives nice ideas for the experienced practioner / trainer. Nice picture giving the idea, not much text to the pictures / exercises described.
