I got these for modeling, holding things together with weight. I've discovered that you can also use them in wood working. The measurements are 1 inch across, 2 inches on the side and 3 inches wide so you can use them to measure table saw heights, squaring things, and router sets. The ones I got were a little greasy at first, but when I was using them for railroad modeling, I wiped them and used wax paper to keep the gunk off my buildings. Very useful.
