A Great Camera!
I really love this camera. I bought this camera for a Mediterranean cruise I was taking. I wanted something small enough that I can carry around in a small crossbody bag, but would still tae high quality photos. This camera did just that! The pictures all came out great! I even enjoyed taking underwater pictures with this camera being waterproof. I used the camera in salt water and had to rinse it in fresh water afterwards since the buttons (and specifically the zoom toggle) would get slightly stuck. I didn’t get very good low light photos, but also don’t know enough about the different settings to try to make it work. The zoom is decent, it zooms enough without making the picture too blurry, but not as much as a larger camera might. Overall this camera was perfect for what I needed, and I now take it on every trip with me!

Ideal for field inspection reports
I'm super impressed with this camera. I use it during inspections for work and it's fantastic in that regard. It has two "construction" settings that you can program with specific parameters depending on the situation -- like indoor/outdoor. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a true point and shoot that will actually get the shot. Your reports will look a lot better. And it won't break when you inevitably drop it from a roof.

They finally got it right...
The OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 Black has finally got it right. I've owned all previous models of the Olympus TG 1-6 Tough cameras and this version finally fix my main concern. Previous models always had a clicking sound when filming n video and muffled out when zooming. The TG7 does not do that and has made me extremely satisfied. Overall this is a great all around camera, as it's tough as the name says. Granted i've never dropped a previous versions nor do I plan on dropping this one but it's made tough. Easy to use and functionality is super simple. Always better to carry a universal camera and not always drain your phone battery. You can charge additional batteries and have expandable memory. It's waterproof and takes great micro-photos... the microscope mode is what I enjoy best about this camera. Great product and great price... best medium range compact camera. 5 Stars from Us...

Perfect waterproof…
It takes a little time to learn because it has a lot of settings, but it’s perfect for adventure trips. I used my OM System TG-7 underwater in the ocean and also recorded videos, and everything turned out great. The best part is that I didn’t use any extra waterproof case or protection… just the camera itself. As long as you make sure both covers/ports are properly sealed, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Keep the doors clean and dry when opening or closing
These really are the best point-and-shoot cameras for underwater and heavy duty use, hands down. They are worth every penny! For Diving/Snorkeling - the pictures are fantastic out of the camera, but the buttons are too small for gloved hands and the camera is only good to 50'. So, make sure to get the Olympus brand Waterproof Case and a neoprene/floatie strap (the Olympus strap is crap, but it is "a strap"). The other Waterproof Case brands are not good enough, the Olympus fits properly and works every time if you do your part and follow the directions. For industrial work environments these are (again) excellent! I have several Olympus Tough cameras spanning quite a few years and they out-last all the other ones. They can be killed, they are not cockroaches, but it takes a good sized drop or serious effort to do so. So far, even with the worst mishap, the SD card survives every time at the very least. Highly recommended all around.

Good, not so good
Seems to be a good camera but I can't seem to figure out how to use it. There are no instructions and my frustration level is ready to return this and get my Pentax. I don't see panoramic, or time lapse on this one and if I can't figure this out in the next day or so, I'm returning it. 500 for something I can't use is not in my budget.

About as good as a point-and-shoot format can get
I've been a big fan of Olympus for quite some time, and I have quite a bit of micro 4/3ds stuff from the Pen series cameras. I needed a tough camera for work, as I'm often in wet and nasty locations taking photos for insurance claims. After dropping my Pen E-P5 lens down into a puddle of sewage on the concrete, destroying about $1,000 worth of glass, I realized that I cannot afford to keep using my good camera for dirty work. This one fits the bill. Not only is it designed to be drop resistant, waterproof and tough, but it has most of the control features I like about my mirrorless camera, in a point-and-shoot body. The camera has a fairly wide angle lens, and even better still, can accept adapters to give me even more flexibility. I added a screen protector, silicone cover and an aftermarket .45x wide-angle adapter, and the whole package cost me less than the lens I broke in the first place. The camera has built in GPS, which is nice to have when photographing scenes that may later be introduced in court as evidence, it produces good-quality video, and has a pretty decent zoom range, and great macro focus capabilities right out of the box. Add the fact you can go swimming with it and take photos underwater without an external case, and I'm pretty much set. It has remote software you can install on your phone or tablet, and you can download the images wirelessly, use the camera in live view mode and control the zoom from your phone. There's some downsides to it, as it doesn't integrate well with my estimating software, so I can't take photos and import them directly, which slows the workflow some, but the quality of the photos is outstanding and it's worth the extra bit of work. The software that goes with this has another big drawback, in that it only lets you register one camera at a time with the software - so if you own multiple Olympus products, you have to 'deregister' one with the software to use the other, and that requires setting up the wifi and Bluetooth connections all over again. The full manual isn't included with the package, and it took an email to customer service to get a copy I could download, as it doesn't even appear for this model on the Olympus website. I think Olympus has a fantastic product, and they continue to improve it, but once they release it, they seem to neglect all the other things that make the product really useable for their customers. All in all, though, I'll stick with the brand, and hope they do better on the rest.

Great camera
Very happy with this purchase. Took it on vacation this summer and it took great underwater photos.

Comprar a caixa estanque é essencial.

Correct
Bel appareil mais qui fait l'impasse sur le petit sac de transport. Après quelques usages, le zoom en vidéo est un carnage sonore dans l’enregistrement. Il faut choisir si zoom ou pas et le faire avant de filmer.

Tough! Drop it, it will be OK.
Very good camera, lots of control for professional images. It is tough. The TG-6 had bits that would crack off, this one doesn't so far (6 months.)
