These string lights are awesome! I got four of the 48' and one 24'. They are all strung together, wire tied to cable on post 4' above our 6' fence line and controlled by a single WEMO Dimmer Switch. So, with them 10' above the ground, can still get through gates with trailers or vehicles without issue and they light up the backyard extremely well. They light so well that we only have them come on at 50% at sunset. The lights will dim way down, to barely a glow, without any flicker at all...on the WEMO Dimmer, they did not like dimming on a Rheostat Dimmer but I think that would be expected.The whole neighborhood has commented on how nice they look.I did notice some of the light bulbs had some cloudiness inside them when first installed, but that seems to have gone away now that they have been up for a couple months.

Beautiful sturdy lights. I got the dimmer and they are awesome. Very bright though so get the dimmer.
