Easy to Use and Quiet!
I purchased this unit because I liked its features-even though it was more expensive than most of the other water distillers. It arrived in good time, and was easy to unpack. You have to put the handles on the glass pitcher, but that was not difficult to do. Once that was done, you add water, put the top on the unit, align the pitcher under the spout, set your time and let it run. The 2 cleaning cycles went flawlessly. I used hot tap water in the holding tank filled up to the full mark for both cycles. The first I let run for 3:20 and there was still about an inch of water in the tank. The second ran for 4 hours and the tank was almost dry. There was very little sludge in the tank, so I quickly rinsed it out and dried. Today I am running my first keeper batch, starting with hot tap water - it started dispensing distilled water 20 minutes into the run. I am mainly going to use the water for my mist humidifier in my bedroom, so am not using any charcoal filtering. This uses about a half gallon a night, and I can easily produce this in 1-2 days a week. What do I like: 1. The distiller is very quiet, about 60 decibels that sounds like a quiet small fan. 2. Easy to run and easy to clean. 3. Stainless steel is very sturdy and the unit is solid and feels well-made. 4. The distiller spout is easy to align with the flask catching the water, unlike some of the other models I checked out on Amazon (comments). 5. Stainless steel body gets hot but you can still touch it without being hurt. What I don’t like: NOTHING. If you are liking at purchasing a countertop water distiller, seriously consider this one - it is worth the additional dollars.

3rd review. Plug melted. Design Defect. Recommend you stay clear!
Latest Edit: 2/2025: The plug melted. I now agree with others here. I think it's a design defect. IMO, it's a risk of fire, sorry. If you're an electrician, maybe you can rework the power supply as it was nice while it was working. Anyone else, steer clear. My earlier distiller Megahome was much more money but never had these kind of issues. Edit: I found through a web search the email address for support: [email protected] I emailed them and they did respond after a few days. Original review: My distiller died after about 4 months. I managed to fix it. Disclaimer: This may or may not work for you. You should know and be comfortable working on electrical things or take it to someone who can do this. What made mine stop working may be different from yours when it breaks. What I did... Where the power goes in to the unit, there is a concealed fuse. Look closely and you'll see how to pull it out. The unit comes with a spare fuse which you will also find in there. Possibly just swapping in the spare fuse may fix you. For mine, I found that the metal fuse holder connections were not holding the fuse tightly. I bent each of the four arms to make a better connection and now my distiller works again. General review... Service/Warranty: I read somewhere it has a 1 year warranty but there is no contact info for the manufacturer. You can return it within 30 days to Amazon and within 90 days you can message the seller through Amazon. After 90 days you are on your own. The distiller, when working, is really nice. Ideally you're good with electrical things or have a friend who can look at it if/when it dies. If you don't then this probably isn't the best for you. I also own a much more expensive Megahome distiller which works about the same but there is support. Works Nicely: It makes a gallon of water for me in about 4 hours. I like the ability to set the timer and have it stop before it's totally dry. This makes cleanup much easier and also seems safer. Everything inside seems to be stainless steel. It doesn't come with the carbon filter which fits in the outlet, so you'll need to buy that separately. How many stars? If these worked reliably for years as they should, they'd be 4 or 5 stars. I'm actually somewhat happy with mine, but I shouldn't have to repair it and I wanted 1 star to catch your attention so it might help you.

Been using this about a month now and love it.
This thing is great. I have been using it almost a month now and make 1 or 2 gallons daily. I see reviews about "gross stuff left in the machine after distilling". This is because you have either terrible water quality and that is the garbage left behind from the distillation process OR you left it run way to long after the water was empty and its burnt. Its not the device, its you. I have made at least 40 gallons of distilled water and only had to clean the machine once. The included cleaning powder worked great when I let it warm up and sit for a bit. The only negative I have is the handle is a little jankey but it works fine once you attach it correctly. The glass on the jug is a little thin but it just means you have to be careful with it. I put down a towel since I have marble counter tops and don't want to risk breaking the glass. Overall this device is very high quality and does a perfect job. Tested PPM after distilling and its well within the ranges of what I would expect from store bought distilled water. My hydroponic spice grows love the distilled water, no more algae or mold.

Doesn't last long
Worked great for about a year, but I don't think it paid for itself. Ran approximately every 10 days for my Cpap machine, it's a little loud, but produced about 3/4 gallon each time. Had issues with the fuse popping out when it was unplugged, but that is just annoying. Finally, won't run or power up, and one of the fuse terminals is "burned" and discolored now, so it went into the trash....would have been cheaper to buy water with how long it lasted.

Do not buy, possible fire hazard
I loved it the first couple of weeks. It seemed to work as intended. I cleaned the system every 3-5 uses and got great results. About 2 - 3 weeks ago, the system started to shut down early, with about 50% of the water still in the main boil chamber. A restart seemed to fix it. Last week, the power cable melted slightly...so I bought a higher gauge computer cable to ensure I wasn't having a resistance problem. Now today. it blew a fuse. This is cheap for a reason. This product could cause you serious electrical problems (maybe fire) and of course, it's 4 days after the return window so I'm out the $130. Highly recommend you do not buy this water distiller

Big, loud - died however after just under 2 years with weekly use
6/2026 Died 🫤 8/2025 Update: Still loud. Still moderately slow but working now for about a year. I use it 1-2 per week to make water for my nugget ice maker. 9/2024: This thing does what it is supposed to do (distill water) but please note: 1) it is big, 2) the fan is LOUD (like stove-hood loud), and 3) the directions are basically worthless (eg unintelligible, pages stapled and printed out of order, diagrams poor or missing - basically you have to just figure it out and plug it in with a “well, here goes” mindset). All that said, it distills water. I have never had one of these before so I have nothing to compare it to. It takes me about 2.5 hours to get just shy of 2500 ml (around .6 gal) out having put 2500 ml in. (I set the time at 4 hours and it shut itself off at about 2.5 hours), so that’s about 1000 ml p/hr. (I think the instructions tried to explain the time-to-output ratio, but they were so poorly written I couldn’t decipher what was being said with any clarity. I think the timing of water production has to do the temperature and humidity conditions in your home, which likely affect how efficiently the appliance can work - but in truth I’m just guessing at that.). Each time I have used it, it took between 20 and 25 minutes for any water to start coming out, so FYI. I haven’t had it very long so I’ll update this review if things go awry down the road. And yes, there are no charcoal sachets included. You have to buy those separately if you want them.

Great distiller, but not for my small kitchen!
I have only had it a short while now, but so far so good! I was very concerned about ordering an item with a glass carafe as returning it would be more hassle for me than for most other people--but no worries! It arrived safely. I thought I had ticked a box somewhere to have it shipped in Amazon packaging (for extra protection), but maybe not. Anyway, it arrived in the manufacturer's packaging, which included a foam shell around the entire unit that was inside the box. The glass carafe was also wrapped in a foam sheet and was placed inside the metal shell of the base unit. The carafe is heavy duty borosilicate glass, like Pyrex. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the metal bands that I was supposed to attach to the carafe as it appeared that there was only one, and I saw from the instructions that I needed two. Again though--no worries! The two bands were nested together so perfectly that they appeared to be only one. Whew! I read all the instructions and assembled the unit. I observed that the interior of the boiling chamber appeared less than totally clean and so I opted to clean it with a small rag moistened with some denatured Ethyl alcohol that I had on hand. I was really glad I did this, as the rag showed a surprising amount of microscopic steel dust on it afterwards. I cleaned all the interior metal parts in this manner. The instructions seemed to indicate that you were supposed to clean it by running a couple of loads of water though it (or many more if the water is intended for commercial or laboratory needs) -- that the steam would do the cleaning. I think what they were really getting at here was that they don't want you putting the base unit in the sink to clean it as you would run the risk of ruining the electronic circuit board of the timer. Speaking of which, the only negative I see with the machine so far is the tiny size of the buttons on the timer. They are so tiny I have to use my fingernail to change the timer settings! This is just a nitpick though and not worth subtracting a star for. For my initial run I put 2 liters of cold water from my tap into the base. This water was about 55-58 degrees Fahrenheit--straight from my lime-laden well here at the end of December. I set the timer for 1.5 hours as suggested in the instructions. Boiling began after 16 minutes and initially the machine was producing 5-6 drops/second, which I thought was great! Then after about another 15 minutes the rate dropped to only about 2 drops/second and I became alarmed. I thought about it though and realized that after the upper cooling unit had reached the full temperature of prolonged operation that this was what had caused the slowdown. Still, I feared it would take forever to do it's job at that rate--but again no worries! After a boil time of 1.5 hrs. it produced about 1600ml of water, totally fulfilling the promise of one liter per hour. I measured the water that remained in the reservoir and found 400ml remaining--indicating that none had been lost in the process! The timer function is great and was a major deciding factor in my purchase. It allows you to stop the boiling process before the reservoir runs dry and helps prevent the buildup of minerals. The instructions mention that you can shorten the time that is necessary by utilizing hot tap water to start with. I agree and although I haven't tried it yet, I intend to jump start the boil by filling it with hot water from my tea kettle. This should allow me to get the maximum life out of the heating element. I should mention that the machine is not small. It is pretty beefy. It stands 15.5 inches tall (about 3.5 inches taller than my old "Mr. Coffee" machine) and when in operation requires about 18 inches side to side. I don't think it would be a good idea to place it underneath a kitchen cabinet as the heat is dissipated straight up from the top. Thus it lives now in my living room as my kitchen is on the small side. That said, I am really happy with it so far and I do recommend it! UPDATE: The product, used once daily, lasted for 13 months before it would no longer turn on. Not a long enough life span in my opinion. I downgrade my rating to three stars due to this.

I will buy another one without question. Best water I've ever tasted.
We've already made countless gallons with this thing. It's awesome, well worth the money. As soon as this one putters out I will immediately purchase another. The water's taste is utterly transparent, pure, lovely, admirable. We pour the water straight from the glass carafe into 1-gallon amber glass jars. (We keep 3 of those jars on the kitchen counter to pour and drink when needed.) When desired, we pour from those glass jars into a cup, and then with a gentle lift of the cup the delectable ambrosia is disgorged onto our tongues and down our gullets before gently settling inside our little tum tums. This distiller is simple to set up and use, we've encountered no trouble with anything at all. (Fyi we also use those little charcoal filter bags, which fit awkwardly inside the distiller's compartment, but seem to work just fine.) Every two or three weeks I fill it w water mixed w about a cup of white vinegar and let that soak for 24hrs to clean it--soooo much cheaper than getting the packets of distiller cleaner/descaler.

Works as expected
The product works well and automatically shuts off once the water is empty.
