Miraculous!
I rarely, if ever, write reviews - unless an item is absolutely horrid or beyond stupendous. This UV filter is spectacular. It is installed outdoors in a galvanized stock tank with goldfish, about 75 gallons. The tank has always been green and cloudy and the fish are only seen when they come up for food - 1st photo. I had to rig up a system to keep the filter in place since the suction cups do not stick to the metal. The filter was set up on a Sunday. Monday the water was a bit cleaner - I could see the fishes maybe 4" down from the water level. On Wednesday - that is 3 days after installation - the water is shockingly clear - 2nd photo. I am so incredibly impressed with this filter; I never dreamed it would be so effective. Hopefully it will last.

Filter
Easy to assemble and use. Instructions are easy to follow. Works well on a small tank. Noise and quality are decent. Good value.

Perfect
This thing really works! We could not get out tank to not turn green. This thing cleared it up with a little bit of help. We emptied or “changed” out our water and it kept it clean since!

Wonderful filter
Great filter. It is very big, but I made it work with some tall plants. I have a 10 gallon aquarium with 3 small goldfish. Gloldfish are very dirty fish and the one we got from the local fair came with mild ick. This is a new tank set up and after three days with the filter that came with the tank, the fish were not looking happy. I put this filter in and they came to life! Swimming all over the place. Our well water is very hard with lots of sulfur and iron and high ammonia. With adding this filter and one piece of drift wood the water is in good rang now after a week of running it. The fish love the current and bubbles. I was worried it was going to be too strong for a 10 gallon. Probably wouldn’t be good for slow swimmers or calm water fish, but the goldfish love it. The tank had developed a cloudy substance on the glass, and after three days of running this filter it was gone, I was shocked. I have just been leaving the uv light on all the time for now. The ick is completely gone off the fair fish and I didn’t use any medication. I am very impressed with this filter. I’ve kept the original filter that came with the tank on and I use chem pure elite medium in it. With the goldfish I’ll be leaving both filters on it. You can never have to much filtration with goldfish.

MUST HAVE FISH TANK ADDITION
I have 2 custom made aquariums in our home with very sophisticated filtration systems. All too often the water would become cloudy... witch is usually an indication of over feeding. The very large tank already hasan Ultra Violet filter system installed. As an experiment, I bought this system for both big and smaller tanks and was blown away how fast they "cleared up" the cloudiness... giving us crystal clear waters to enjoy every nook, cranny, plants, rocks & fish vividly. These systems move an enormous about of water each hour and the fish love the adjustable extra aeration, and, they're quite as a Church mouse!Submitted Happily, PMC

Stopped working within half a year
The UV light function went out after a few months so I replaced the bulb and it still won’t work.
