IdahoanButtery Potato Mash Potatoes

It mixes well, very fast with no lumps or powdery taste. it's flakes of real potato and it shows. DH absolutely loves it. Such a time saver when you want comfort food and only mash will do! If like me you remember those iconic adverts for Sm*@h this is nothing like. Really does taste as if I'd peeled boiled and then mashed.

We love this instant mash and it is the best potato-like mash we have ever tried. Add a knob of butter and a little pepper and apart from NOT being lumpy like my real potato mash turns out, it tastes just like real potato!

Not all mash is the same. In my part of the world, we're real fussy about our potatoes. So when it comes to powered/flaked potatoes that are rehydrated with water, most folk would turn there noses up at it. I was looking for light food options that would be easily rehydrated and cooked for Camping. Seeing the good reviews for this mash, I thought it's bound to be worth a try. I make it up with a little less water than recommended, but then add a good sized piece of butter to it (and by good sized piece, I mean a big slab of butter). The resulting mash (1 min cook) is as close as I've ever had to freshly made mash. It's amazing. It's light, fluffy and tastes the way it should. It's also very light for taking on camping trips. Very well pleased indeed.

Used for any recipe where mashed potatoes are required...topping on pies: potato scones: thicken soups etc. Useful quick and very versatile.

Easy to use excellent taste and good value

It's very good it's hard to tell that it's not real mash potato and I'm impressed.

The best packet mash that we have tried so far , often add a knob of butter but it is.not essential .
