BloomBox Lions Mane Mushroom Grow Kit

Great company! They are super responsive. I am a newbie and my mushroom nick couldn’t be more easy to set up. I look forward to buying more different mushrooms with them as I learn.

This kit was everything it was advertised to be! Easy set up, and a huge harvest within the 3 weeks they stated! I am now hoping to get a second harvest. My only criticism, if you can call it that, is that the directions were a little bit ambiguous. I wasn't sure which side of the block to cut the pastic, and it appeared that there was an additional plastic inside and I wasn't sure if I should cut that too. I cut through both layers and kept the block moist and VOILA! I had Lions Mane mushrooms a short time later! I recommend this product to any new grower!

Set up is very straight forward and the instructions are clear and precise. I just have gotten my box, so no pics to show as of yet, but I am bursting with excitement! I would love to have the lions mane.

I bought these on the same day that I bought the blue oyster mushrooms, and I started them both on the same day. They both started pinning around day four or five. This picture is how they look after one week, so I’m thinking that’s pretty good. As I said, in my other review, they have you put the box into a humidity bag that they provide. And I’m questioning how big the mushrooms can get, if they start to push up against that bag. So I plan to cut the bag open when I get a little bit bigger so they have room to grow. You really can’t remove the box once you have it in that bag because they have you set it on some wet paper towels, which softens the cardboard of the box and it would fall apart if you tried to remove it. I can’t wait to see how big these get and again, I have no idea how I will know when it’s time to harvest, but my understanding is that once I do, I can start misting them again and get at least another bloom or two out of them.

I have been plant-based for about a month now and wanted to try lions mane out. It’s been impossible to find it near me so I purchased this kit. The directions were ok but it did leave me confused on a few things (how much to spray, how often, is the bag absolutely necessary, etc.) I sat it out in the sun, sprayed it twice a day and brought it in during the time. I followed what others who had success did but it never grew. Nothing popped out whatsoever. Maybe it was something I did but I was excited and cared for it everyday for 2 weeks and nothing. I didn’t care to try cutting the back to retry growing because it appeared ruined. Bubbly wet white stuff consumed it and it just didn’t give off healthy soil. I’m glad it worked for others, but unfortunately, I couldn’t get a single thing to come out of it no matter how much I cared for it.

Kit comes with a seeded brick of lion's mane mushrooms, humidity tent, water cups and sprayer. It's a bit hard to keep the tent humidity up in AZ, but with additional watering it is successful. 1st photo shows day 10 of growth. It is a great experience for kids to learn responsibility when they want a pet. Can't wait to harvest and use the recipes. Update- I put the kit in a 2 gallon Ziploc bag with the top slightly opened. I added more water to the brick and the 2nd lion's mane took off! And I think I got a sustainable ecosystem with humidity on the bag. I sauteed the first piece and it was really good! Spongy with substance. Great texture and tasty! I may get addicted....

I have waited a while to write my review. I bought two boxes hoping to get two harvests out of each but I honestly can’t say I got a second harvest from either one. I was so excited about having access to lions mane mushrooms, but I can’t justify the double in price and lack of production. Unfortunately, I won’t be keeping my subscription:( pictures are of the first harvest and they did pop wonderfully

I bought this to use to cook, but also to show my son how mushroom grow. It’s perfect. The box arrived in no time and started fruiting right away. Great purchase.

Paid nearly 85 euros for 2 mushrooms to bloom on this box . Massive rip off . When other suppliers sell from 16 euros per kit
