Is it titanium?** A: It has been a life saver for my parents Maltese who was having multiple accidents everywhere. She was 14 & now uses a pad in this litter box. She needed a low side as she has arthritis & vad eyesight so it couldn't flip or slide. She had to feel secure. This box is heavier with a lip so no sharp edges. She now feels secure enough to use it constantly and rare accidents at 15. I figured out with failing eyes, she couldn't judge the edges of the pad on a flat floor, the box gives definition to the boundaries. Tried the tray in the bottom of a crate, but she tripped on the metal so wouldn't use it. A couple of plastic bins either weren't large enough or the wrong shape. For me, having pets use a designated spot rather than multiple places made this worth it! 👍🙄 Btw, puppy & kitty boxes are exactly the same except for colors. **Q: Is a cover available for this litter box? Wider means more space for her to maneuver around and find a good spot to use each time. She seems to kick out less litter. She still gets wee outside the box, but that was a problem with taller sides also.Could not find a litter box liner to fit, but a full size drawstring trash bag is just about the right size when you put it on sideways, just putting the whole box inside it.Edit= It is now maybe 6 months later, and the litter box has worked really well. I do use the drawstring trash bags as liners and it works fine. When I realized it was because her stuff old joints made the jump up into her old box a pain, I bit the bullet and bought this. We haven’t had ONE issue since! I think she is so happy with how roomy it is and the fact that she can just walk right in without any extra effort. It’s really solid. Don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s overpriced. Especially since you pretty much have to pair it with a huge litter mat and probably some of those adhesive clear plastic splash guards to keep the litter from getting all over your floor (unless your cat is neat as a pin; mine’s not bad but those are a necessity for me with even her reasonable covering efforts to keep her from kicking all the litter out). This is my go-to product especially as my little ones age and experience challenges.The extremely low entry allows for larger and smaller kitties to maintain their dignity and use a box, even as arthritis makes it harder for them to move around. Normal size boxes have entries that are just too high for the aging to get a step over, resulting in messes the kitties don’t want to be causing. Both my aged main coon, Ozzy and a little lynx point tabby Sugar, experienced these challenges but used this product where no others were a good fit.The wide width and length of the boxes allow for the larger kitties to move freely and have room to scrape and turn. The low height can be a challenge when they can’t squat or angle appropriately, like my tuxedo kitties Romeo and Buttercup. But a little wee wee pad on the wall beside the box solves that problem, while allowing the kitties with mobility issues to be excellent at Catting and scratch up a storm after doing their business.The boxes clean easily, and retain their coating through multiple washes.
