I am using this for spent coffee grounds from our daily French Press. Love being able to lift out the inside plastic container and dump the contents in our compost bin. A simple rinse out and it’s good to go without having to carry the metal canister around. It looks nice and has a filter in the lid so no smell or flies.

I ordered this small bucket to put my vegetable scraps in peeling, abacoda peels, carrot peels old lettuce I had forgot and expiration date exhausted. I was throwing this all down the disposal or trash even good old egg shells. Now I just take it to my compost bucket outside making rich compost for my garden. It has a charcoal filter that keeps it from smelling. And it looks great on my cabinet top. I would not hesitate to order another one. The inner black bucket comes out and you carry it by a pale to the composting site! Love this! I feel I’m using and not wasting. If I had chickens I would give the scraps to them but they are nice to make good compost for my garden.
