A gem of a book!
A favorite of mine! Ecologist author Carl Safina introduces us to a tiny baby owl whom he rescued and raised to maturity, capturing our hearts and souls in the process with his beautiful narrative. I recommend this lovely book to anyone who loves nature and seeks a deeper meaning to life.

Alfie and Me
The author is very much a nature lover, and shares lots of stories about his outlook on nature, so it's not all about a little owl called Alfie, although she is the main star. A thoroughly enjoyable book.

ich hatte mir mehr über Alfie erhofft, aber der Autor schwenkt sehr schnell auf seine naturphilosophischen Ideen ein
