Aqua Flo 12"x 60"x 1.25" Coarse Black Universal Pond Filter Mat

I used this as a drainage layer in my terrariums. It's pricier than traditional materials, but it's easier to clean and really cuts down on the weight of the tank. Good stuff.

The product is stiffer than I was expecting, but cut to size easily and has been doing a great job. I made a larger filter box out of a storage container and was using 3 approx. 6"x12" filter pads to fit the new box opening. It worked, but it is nice to have one solid piece now that isn't flimsy like what I was using. I would also find fish were getting sucked past the filter media because of the ill fitting filter pads I was trying to get away with using. This product seems very heavy duty and I expect that the roll will last quite a while.

The filter media holds up well. This is my second order. The first material lasted well over one year. My only issue is that the length provided was only 57" rather than 60". Not trying to be picky but I really needed that last 3 inches. I had to piece several smaller pieces together to complete the job.

I have a Savio filter for my 750 gallon pond. This material was a perfect replacement for the original Savio filter media. I cut it to fit into the two media holders and it works just like the Savio media did. The media holders are about 1.25" deep, so there was some room left to layer a finer filter media behind this coarse media to really polish the water. So I bought some ORIGINAL Koi Pond and Aquarium Filter Pad Media Roll and cut it to size. Both just fit in the holder and work great, although I have to clean them every 2-3 days because they collect so much floating algae and other debris.

Great product. I can only get three of them cut for my skimmer so little expensive. My koi pond is totally worth it though! Truly the best product I’ve used in 4 years. I have to change my filter daily which is a pain in the keister. During the winter I can get by three days without changing..

I wanted something to keep the water in my fish tank clean longer and this product did just that. A very good purchase.

Our fountain pump did not have a filter so the holes in the nozzle were plugging frequently. This filter stops the small particles.
