Impressive results if you follow the instructions
Did exactly as I wanted, some detailed info below. Fabric in this case 54% organic cotton 38% recycled polyester 8% hopes and dreams The fabric was UV effected, this would look like a faded black, patchy and often an orange tinge to it in places, sort of like a weak bleach has got on the material. I boiled a kettle full of 1.5l water, added the 250g salt (do not skip the salt, it is what makes the dye want to leave the water and uniformaly attach to yhe material) then i added hot tap water for a total of 6l in a bucket and stirred in the dye. Then kept moving the material for 15mins, then another 30mins in it, moving it about occasional. Cold rinse, warm rinse and leave to dry and then finally one quick wash on it own. Impressive uniform results, will see how it lasts

A messy waste of time and money
Absolute waste of time and money. Purchased to re-dye some fadded black jeans so cotton - denim which should be an ideal fabric for dye. I followed the method exactly. Note, you'll need 250g table salt, ideally an apron to protect your outfit from splash marks and rubber gloves. This was a messy and time-consuming process, and the end result was barely noticeable. Save your money and effort. This is rubbish.
