Great
There is a lot of the spice in one packet - will last forever. The flavor is exactly what I wanted. Amazing

delicious flavoring for malatang
this powder is perfect for making malatang at home. i still haven’t perfected it yet, but this stuff makes it a lot easier because i don’t have all the ingredients required to make my own broth. this has everything in one packet! the taste is great it’s spicy and delicious, would also be great for ramen as the name implies. i would say the spice level varies based on how much you add, but if you like spice this is a good choice. for the cost, i will get plenty of uses, you only need a little bit just for one bowl! i’m excited for all the soup i can make with this.

Delicious with equal parts broth and water
Wow, this soup base is DELICIOUS. It tastes almost exactly like my favorite ramen noodle base. I add it to equal parts water and chicken broth, then I add a hardboiled egg and sometimes bokchoy, and oh my I have the best diet food I've ever come up with myself. You can't get a more satisfying meal at 150 calories per bowl. I am so satisfied after every meal thanks to this delicious soup base. There is one thing though that makes it a little difficult to consume. For instance, I slurp the soup, but I end up choking. I think there's too much of a spicy ingredient in there that makes me susceptible to choking when I slurp this soup. And I don't make my soup way too spicy - the consistency in mine is just like your next ramen noodle soup. So I'm careful to lose my composure, knowing it's all worth it if it's this delicious and lets me enjoy a low-calorie meal that is actually quite satisfying.

I mean...
Don't get me wrong, I do like this, as a korean person. A lot. But it's literally just jin ramyeon soup. I grew up eating that, so I know and like it, but I'm just confused as to why it's not listed as such. The huge sticker is covering the original brand name. But yeah, jin ramyeon soup isn't THAT spicy. Needed to add a lot for me to feel anything. That being said, we also love adding this to almost anything. I personally mix this with soy sauce and sesame oil, and since this has more spice than flavor, it didn't overpower the soy and sesame too much.

Objectively Premium Salt Content
It's very good overall. It has a peppers and onion note to it with a bit of garlic. It's pretty close to what you'd get out of a shin ramyun. It's spicier than that, but not by a wide margin. Maybe less umami, but jury is out. Given that there's no nutritional info provided, I did a kitchen experiment to get at least an estimate of sodium content. I used a sodium ion meter to compare this seasoning to the shin one. 2g of seasoning for 100ml of distilled water resulted in 7.1 and 7.0 ppt respectively. That translates to 35-40% salt for the both of them. I would put this at the lower end of expected salt content in ramen seasoning. Disclaimer about the meter itself, it's not lab equipment. 1g of table salt in 100ml of water resulted in 9.4 ppt (10ppt expected). Taste is great, heat level is great. If you are doing DIY ramen, or looking to bolster the seasoning provided in a regular packet, this is a great choice.

Great as sipping soup with creatine
I actually use this to mix with my creatine to give me some variety. Taste good for sipping though you have to be careful of the portion. Otherwise, it'll be too salty to sip.

Good seasoning blend
I've been buying DanSoony ramen powder for a couple of years now, its good for ramen, lo meins, and a number of other dishes where you want savory with a bit of heat to go with it. "Spicy" is often subjective as I know people who fan themselves after using some black pepper flakes, I'm more on the other end of the spectrum and like my spicy foods to me sweat and tap the table a few times. Depending on where you land in that spectrum, I'd say this rates a 1-2 (for me it's just barely a 1), but it has other seasonings that give a nice savory flavory profile.

Excellent ramen mix
Very tasty ramen mix. First tried it with some leftover white rice and some ramen toppings, some Chiramen Seafood Mix and a Roasted Seaweed; heated up and mixed to make a delicious soup. Nice heat. The powder is very fine so don’t breathe in too deeply when smelling it because it’ll get in your nose and make you sneeze. Look forward to experimenting with it.
