It does not fit Schedule 40 PVC 3" Drain
It has a 3.25 ID and 3" Schedule 40 PVC has a 3.50 OD. So, it could never fit as intended on Schedule 40. May fit schedule 30 which is not code. It does have an adapter included, which saved the day.

Using for etching container for damascus.
Received this cleanout exactly when they said it would be here. Does everything I need it to and works great. It's not listed anywhere on the description, but it came with a 3" coupler as well. I imagine this is because the bottom of the clean out is the exact size as a piece of 3" pipe, which I didn't know before hand, so I was very glad and thankful that they sent a coupler as well.

No alteration needed. Comes with a neck to mate the OD to the ID. Cap screws on/off effortlessly.

Does not fit a schedule 40 pvc 3'', it's supposed to fit over, not be the same diameter.
