Durable looking crampons
These seem well made. The spikes are a little shorter then I expected but they look like they will work okay and durable. Had a little trouble aligning the front spikes effectively under the ball of the foot but that could be down to the boot rather then the crampons. Not had chance to try them in anger yet.

FANTASTIC grip, brilliant value for money
These turned up about an hour ago and as soon as they did I put my walking boots on and attached them (very easily - women size 5.5) to my feet. I have felt housebound this past week due to INCREDIBLY icy conditions in my town, but needed to go to the post office today. I tentatively stepped out onto the glassy hillocks of ice that are spread across the pavements, unbelieving in the promised traction - I needn't have been worried. I practically skipped along to the post office, overtaking everyone I passed, testing them out on snow, slush, packed ice, black ice, pavements and frozen ground. I even broke into a run at one point along a long section of black ice, now with complete faith! Even in attempting to slip on purpose they held fast to the ground. Back at home, I've checked the crampons to see how they've fared on their first outing - the spikes are not bent at all, the chain links are still completely in order. Can't recommend highly enough, this product has given me instant confidence in walking outdoors this winter when I previously felt trapped by the dangerous conditions. Most worthwhile £16 I have spent in a long time.

Brilliant!
We have used these in the recent -6 degree conditions in our village with ice impacted roads and paths whilst walking the dogs. Plenty of hills to walk up and down too - think the dogs would like some as they were the ones slipping! I was even able to run in them and no grip was lost at all.Got the Small size in black which fit really snugly over both women’s size 6 Salamon boots (pictured) and two pairs of women’s Merrell size 6 Goretex trekking shoes. The same small size fitted over pairs of women’s size 5 Merrells with the same snug fit. All flat soled shoes (ie no ‘heels’). Nothing moves or slips with the fittings at all when used on a 1 hour walk. No damage to spikes or chains after three days of really bad weather and they have had quite a bashing. Excellent price on Amazon.

really glad we bought them
Recently used these in Austria on snow and ice covered walking paths. Well worth the expenditure to have confidence walking safely on ice. They are well made and of solid construction and the rubber framework for holding the spikes in place is powerful. It is not easy to put them on but once they are in place they stay put. They are best fitted whilst wearing one's boots so for those with a less than supple body may find it difficult. We have tried putting them on the boots before wearing the boots but the rubber framework requires a lot of force to pull it over the boot, so bracing the stretch of the rubber against the leg muscles with the boots being worn makes it easier to fit them.Cheaper options are available but as we have discovered they are not so well constructed as these Pogu spikes.

For the price and quality these are great!
Before I got these I was hiking in Norway and sliding all over the place up a mountain. For my next trip to Washington State, I knew I had to invest in some spikes. And what an investment! I was pretty much running over compacted snow and did some trails I would never have been able to without them (I am very unsteady on my feet). I found them easy to get on (I do have feet on the smaller end of the spectrum, ladies size 4) and they adjusted to their correct position after a few steps. I wouldn't go hiking anywhere slightly cold without them now. Also would be a very worthy investment for these colder winters we're now having!

Recommended for anyone going to the arctic circle in winter.
The best thing we could have bought for our holiday in Norway. Several other members of our group had purchased cheaper products but their products sometimes slipped off or didnt grip as well as these crampons. The streets of Tromso were covered with sheet ice and grippers such as these were essential for just walking around town. The only downside for these crampons was that they needed a lot of strength to stretch over the boots, especially in the first day or two. However, once fitted you were always sure of your footing. One of our party fell and broke their arm when they attempted to walk over the ice without any grippers at all. Recommended for anyone going to the arctic circle in winter.

As good as the more expensive versions
The 'good ones' as my walking buddies tell me cost about £60, but I'm not spending that amount of money on something I might only wear once a year. I think these are perfectly adequate for when I'm walking along a path in the great outdoors and some of it is icy. They are easy to put on & take off and you get a little heavy duty bag to store them in, so they can go in the top pocket of my rucksack for when I need them. If they last me a few years I'll be happy with that.
