For almost 140 years we've spent considerable time exploring natural habitats of fish, breeding fish in our own facilities, producing diets in our own factories, processing every shipment through our own facilities and researching the impact our diets have over time. These unique insights into the nutritional needs of fish give a competitive advantage no other fish food maker can duplicate and allow us to produce species specific diets that will not only maintain your aquatic pets' health, but assist you in keeping your aquarium or pond in top form. We make the health and longevity of the fish and the aquatic environment they live in our first priority. Focusing on bringing about success to the hobbyist through exacting nutrition has allowed us to develop a brand name synonymous with superior quality. Consider using Hikari, because you love your aquatic pets as much as they love you! We feel it's our duty to constantly investigate the natural ecology of fish to make the best food for them. Our exploration to Irian Jaya, Lake Malawi in Africa, Guiana highland, the Indian Ocean, the jungle of Southeast Asia and the Holy River Ayeyawady and others, offer us many secrets to fish health, coloration, breeding requirements, water conditions and quality. Hikari offers a wide variety of diets for different species of fish, each offering unique characteristics which enable it to be readily accepted by the specific fish it was developed for, which is where Species Specific originated. This attention to detail allows you to be confident your choice will be quickly devoured by even the most finicky eaters. Our first hand experience breeding and raising fish, and the scientific data we can collect during this process, give us a clear road map for future product improvements and enhancements. Hikari uses actual experience and physical practice instead of marketing schemes or unproven theory to develop our premium aquatic diets! Small pellets designed specifically for smaller-mouth fishes, providing them superior nutrition with excellent digestibility. The micro-coating maintains nutrient integrity while the nutrition packed pellets offer outstanding value compared to flakes. Scientifically formulated to provide newborn fish the exacting nutritional balance they require during the earliest developmental stages of their lives. Give your fry their best chance at a long and health-filled life. An excellent, higher protein, natural food for most tropical and select marine fishes. This highly flavorful treat in a freeze dried form is typically accepted by almost any fish it is fed. Expect color, texture, and taste not previously available in a freeze-dried food. Premium-select fish meal which provides a superior protein source, Astaxanthin helps enhance coloration and Spirulina which offers a high concentration of usable vitamins, make this a daily diet perfectly suited for bettas and their high stress nature. ## Features - Bio-Technology provides active color enhancement ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B00025Z74C | | Best Sellers Rank | #90 in Aquarium Fish Food | | Date First Available | June 20, 2004 | | Department | Unisex-Adult | | Item Model Number | 42055191104 | | Manufacturer | Hikerman 99020262 | | Product Dimensions | 4.8 x 2.7 x 0.6 inches; 0.88 ounces | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** All Life Stages - **Brand:** Hikari - **Flavor:** Tropical Spirulina - **Item Form:** Pellet - **Specific Uses For Product:** Indoor ## Images ![Hikari® Tropical Betta-BioGold® Floating Pellets, Daily Tropical Fish Food for Siamese Fighting Fish, 0.7 oz (20g) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71h5I47qgVL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is it normal for betas not to eat when you first get them? Do they need to be kept warm? Can i use warm water for him, I do not have a thermometer?** A: You can use a people thermometer in the new water if u don't have a fish thermometer needs between 74 to 80 degrees **Q: If you feed 5 - 10 pellets twice a day, about how long would this package last? I'm guessing 2 - 3 months?** A: I have fed my betta 1 pellet in the morning and two in the evening and she has been healthy for the last two years. 5-10 is definitely too much and will probably cloud the water if it doesn't eat them. If u do choose to go that route then I would agree with kcharn, prob a month for 10 and two months for 5. But over feeding is bad for your betta! **Q: Does the pellet float? Don't bettas like to eat food that floats on water?** A: Yes the pellets float, bettas like to eat from the waters surface **Q: Can i feed it sometime to Jack Dempsey** A: The package says for fish greater than 3 inches long. We've fed it to oscars and african cichlids ## Frequently Bought Together - Hikari Tropical Betta Bio-Gold Fish Food, 0.70 oz (20g) - Ultra Fresh Betta Fish Food, Pro Shrimp Patties, 50% Sword Prawns + Akiami Paste Shrimps, All Natural Protein, Rich in Calcium, for Betta's Healthy Development and Cleaner Water, 0.7 oz - Fluval Bug Bites Betta Fish Food, Granules for Small to Medium Sized Fish, 1.05 Oz. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/5570338-hikari-tropical-betta-biogold-floating-pellets-daily-tropical-fish-food](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/5570338-hikari-tropical-betta-biogold-floating-pellets-daily-tropical-fish-food) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
